    Fascinating from start to finish. Riveting

    The writing style & content of EVERY Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard book I have read is simply outstanding. They seem to love this country and its history while at the same time including controversial subjects. Why read novels and fictional stories when they can & do bring history to life in the most wonderful, exciting and interesting ways? I love it.

    Great story with a few loose ends. I give it a B

    Great story . A somewhat confusing medley of different characters but they do at least try to simplify it somewhat. I would have liked a little more background on King James and the witch trials in Connecticut but overall the story had me searching facts I was not aware of. No wonder Puritanism died out they were way to overbearing and powerful .

    Your local history like you never remember.

    I think the best part of this book is that everyone named in both the early and late 1600’s chapters has a street or a College named after them. A must read for anyone from New England.

    Puts perspective on the idea people migrated here for religious freedom. It was more about intolerance of other ideas and thoughts.

    Certainly allows the reader to put in perspective of early political thought in the Americas. Our country was founded on religious intolerance, zealotry, and superstition.

    for a 'pre owned' book, excellent condition. My first time reading a Bill O'Reilly book, so far compelling reading.
