Rockstar Games once again invites players to "explore their inner criminal" with this release of Grand Theft Auto III for the PlayStation 2 console. This violent, mission-based driving game has the player resuming the role of a cold-hearted street thug making his way up the ladder of underworld gangs and organized crime. With over 50 different types of vehicles on the busy city streets, sports cars to SUVs, taxi cabs to 18-wheelers, and even ambulances and cop cars all there for the taking, a wide variety of outlaw adventures awaits.<br><br>The setting of Liberty City is made up of three districts and in all, Grand Theft Auto III offers 72 different missions, many of which can be played in any order. As the player's character completes jobs available in one part of the city, other areas and assignments open up to him. Along with this purposeful design of a non-linear storyline, many other features popular in earlier versions of the game return in this release as well, including a diverse variety of deadly weapons, busy streets full of self-involved pedestrians, and eight different radio station soundtracks to listen to while inside the vehicles.

    Sniper Anyone?

    Like most people I know, how could you stand playing the original Grand Theft Autos on the first Playstation? I know I couldn't...maybe the ariel view made me sick. One of the biggest anticipations for games to be released in 2001, Grand Theft Auto III is the V8 balls to the walls for action/driving games. This sniper rifle toting, people shooting, car smashing, hooker struting, mafia genre will have you playing for hours on end. Probably without a doubt one of my favorite games of all time. Oh that's right the game also has missions which is the key summary of GTAIII. Okay so if you get bored of just smashing into cars, snipering peoples heads off, or riding around in an Army tank, you can play the many missions that are just as fun, exciting and sometimes funny.     Great great and no defects :)

    This was one of my favorite games from my childhood and teenage years. Now that can finally buy my own DVD and it's brand new for a cheap price so why not buy it . I've never beaten the game but I like to fool around in it though. It runs smoothly and it comes as its stated brand new and sealed with that new smell just the way I like it . :) I kept playing this game for hours knowing how much fun it is! This was actually a gift from my older brother for my birthday. Overall I am very happy with this product. Thank you for your honesty for being brand new and the pictures you upload. :)

    I chose dots as the title to this review, because, I'm not sure if I'm the only one who noticed this or not, but the guy NEVER SAYS ONE DAMN WORD! I realized that one day and it had me cracking up for half an hour. granted, I'm still on the mission where you have to rescue that lady from the cartel... which I've been at for months now = anywho, wheeeere to begin... this game is too sweet for it's own good. you play as this guy. I don't know his name, age, nationality, what he likes on his burgers, or anything. all I know is his girlfriend was a b****. it starts out you're pulling a bank job. you, your then-girlfriend and some other dude are running out the back of the bank. they're ahead of you when you hear a gunshot. you round the corner to a gun in your face, as you see your ...

    My Reveiw of Grand Theft Auto III

    I remember playing this game when it first came out. It's very enjoyable to me. You always hear about the negative sides of the game. Yes, you kill people, you can have sex with prostitutes, and there's plenty of drug use and bad language. But the game is intended for MATURE audiences only, and those should be the only people playing it. There's plenty of other side quests to do that aren't violent, like collecting 100 hidden packages, playing a paramedic and getting hurt people to the hospital, and acting as a vigilante, you chase down criminals. If you're buying this for someone, make sure you know what you're buying. There's plenty to do before you can complete the game, high replay value, so I highly recommend it for anyone 18 years or older only. Clearly not a game for children, so ...

    A good beginner game for PS2

    This game was a good beginner game to GTAs series of games to come, because it showed basically how the others would be like. If you like driving and running over people with a car while doing missions and earning money; this is one of 3 games for you. The other 2 are of course the other 2 GTA's and 3 if you have a PSP also, unless they realease GTA Liberty City out on PS2 also. This game taught you the basics of the upcoming GTA's. to drive, dodge cops, and also how to earn losts of money without doing much work at all. In the others you will also learn other things that help earning money and getting away from cops easier and faster, but until you get to that point this game is for you.
