Not to be confused with Telltale Games' comic-based episodic adventure series The Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct is based on the massively popular TV series and puts players in the role of Darryl Dixon as he and his brother Merle make their way to Atlanta during the early days of the zombie outbreak. Though it plays like a first-person shooter, Survival Instinct encourages gamers to avoid conflict or use stealth melee attacks whenever possible, because firing noisy guns attracts more walkers.<br><br>Darryl and Merle will come across a number of fellow survivors as they make their way through a variety of treacherous locations. Players can choose to help out those survivors, and even bring them along on the trip to Atlanta. But with resources like food, ammo, and medicine scarce, and not every survivor harboring good intentions, gamers must sometimes make extremely difficult decisions, including letting innocent people die.

Outstanding!
This is a fairly old release but, is an great game. Very much like Resident Evil games. Scary, has difficult moments and you truly have to think before you make a decision. I watched a youtube video of this game by a well known gamer and it was irritating to watch him play because of the like of planning. When you send your companions out on "jobs" you really need to pay attention to their own characteristics in order to get the best results. There are multiple ways of going about a lot of things in this game so that makes replaying the game that much greater. A Must Play for the Zombie Fanatics that want a Zombie Massacre game!
This game is awesome for the Zombie Fan that loves shooting zombies. It is definitely a shooter based game as you play Darryl from the TV Series. Meryl also plays as a sidekick on and off in the game. You have the ability to rescue other survivors but your interaction with them is very minor with additional limitations on how many survivors you can keep on your team depending on space in your vehicle. Keeping these survivors with you until the end of the game entitles you to certain limited benefits for the next game play. You are more or less on your own in this game as the other survivors either stay with the vehicle or you can send them out to gather food and other items. I rated it 4 out 5 due to the limited interaction with the characters/survivors you add to your group and for ... This game is awesome for the Zombie Fan that loves shooting zombies. Epic play
I originally ordered this game for my husband and my son but my hubby took it. It is so awesome. The graphics especially on HDMI IS EPIC.
