Strong, silent Ryu Hayabusa sharpens his sword for another acrobatic adventure through deadly environments in this exclusive sequel on PlayStation 3, an enhanced version of the Xbox 360's Ninja Gaiden II. The action once again takes place from a third-person perspective set behind the nimble ninja, with highly cinematic showdowns taking place amidst exotic locales. Acclaimed designer Tomonobu Itagaki has altered the previous title's fast-paced combat system to incorporate new weapons and attacks. In an attempt to appease those who thought the original game was too challenging, the developers have included an automatic health regeneration system and a choice of four difficulty levels, ranging from "acolyte" to "master ninja." The story mode follows Ryu in his trek from Tokyo to New York to a demon-populated netherworld. While the story mode is strictly for solo players, PlayStation Network subscribers will be able to record, modify, and post film clips of their most manic maneuvers for the online world to enjoy. Other notable additions to distinguish this version from the Xbox 360 game include three new playable characters, two-player cooperative support (both online and offline) in special challenge stages, and bonus modes. Completing the campaign will unlock all of the stages so you can revisit each one to set a high score, with the results appearing on a global leaderboard. "Ninja Records" is a new stat-tracking feature that will note your fastest completion time, largest combo, top score, and more. The "Collector's Edition" is bundled with an official soundtrack featuring more than 30 songs, and an 80-page book that includes an art gallery, a mini strategy guide, and a 30-page comic from developer Team Ninja.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2: Collector's Edition
I bought this game a while ago, and since I'm a sucker for Special/Collector's/Limited/whatnot Editions, I decided to go with the extra mile. As soon as I opened the package I saw that it was a step up from the Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1 Collector's Edition. The box is beautiful, and what's inside is even more. The comic book is really enticing, the pages are of the best material possible, and the soundtrack, while on a package that's not so great, is a good add-on for the package. Just the box and the comic book sounded enough for a Collector's Edition, but the soundtrack made it a sweet deal. About the game, I don't have to say much: It's a must-have, definitely. Major improvements over the first Sigma. Graphics, gameplay, story, weapons. If you played the first one and liked it, this one is ... The box is beautiful and the exclusive costume from Joe Hayabusa is amazing ! The mini book content is not something to write home about, it has cool artworks at least. I'd rather buy the full strategy guide if I were looking for further information on the game's strategy. If you're just interested in the official soundtrack, the exclusive costume, the cool box and of course the fantastic game, you should spend your money on this Collector's Edition right now ! Like Ninjas?
...in this game you see a lot of them. You control one, and you kill probably thousands of them. You are Ryu Hayabusa, your job is to save the world from evil Ninjas. Graphics and sound are crisp, but the best thing about this game are the awesome controls. Whenever Ryu dies, its always your fault. The game is hard but always fair. The collectors edition features a nice little book with tips and artworks, and a soundtrack CD....in this game you see a lot of them. You control one, and you kill probably thousands of them.
