Zombieland - Better Than A Golden Twinkie
This is by far one of the best zombie films ever. I strongly suggest owning this movie, or at least seeing it because it ranks right up with some of the best in this genre. Similar to Shawn of the Dead, Zombieland demonstrates great comedy, drama, suspense, and action when needed. Fueled by a great cast which adds to the excitement. Also a cameo role too spectacular to name here, but his initials are BM. Not as Funny as "Shaun of the Dead" but Still Solid
When "Zombieland" first came out, its producers had to know that it would draw inevitable comparisons to British rom-com-zom masterpiece "Shaun of the Dead" -- and for good reason. Both films take the traditional zombie horror genre and inject a healthy bit of absurdist comedy. While "Shaun of the Dead" is clearly the better film, "Zombieland" stands as a solid horror-comedy. When hypochondriac Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) finds he is one of the last survivors of the zombie apocalypse, he sets out on a cross-country road trip looking for other humans. Along the way, he meets up with Twinkie-obsessed Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) and sister-duo Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin. "Zombieland" was originally written as a TV pilot, and this ... THE FUNNIEST ZOMBIE MOVIE EVER!!!!
This movie is about a young college student, Columbus, who's trying to get back to Ohio to see his family. But his world is turned upside down when he discovers zombies and he's witnessed the various ways they can get you. So he made up 30 rules: Look in the back seat, Double Tap, Don't go in public bathrooms, etc. Using his rules, he's able to avoid getting eaten or killed by zombies. On his journey home he meets a zombie killing machine named Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson). They decide to travel together and on their way, they meet two sisters. The sisters double crosses them; take their van and leaves them stranded. And this is where the adventure begins. Columbus and Tallahassee goes after them and gets tricked, again. It's funny and the whole family can enjoy it. This DVD is one of our Feature Presentation for Halloween Movie Night. Our home theater is going to be packed with young boys and girls. And they're going to like this movie (my whole family loves it). Very funny and enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Woody Harrelson (Cheers) stars in this hilarious look at zombies. Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) joins up with Tallahassee (Harrelson) after the end of the world where everyone turns to zombies. The two team up with Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin) to find the last Twinkie on Earth in Zombieland. With much infighting between the stars they are forced to decide if they should remain as a team or split up and take their chances alone. This movie is at times very funny and continues a line of making fun of zombies like we saw in Shawn of the Dead. Its a very good movie that anyone who likes to laugh will enjoy. There is a lot of blood and gore in this film and those who do not like that should avoid the movie. Buy this one, or rent it depending on your ... One of my favorites!
When this movie came out, I had no interest in seeing it at all. Eventually my cousin and I watched it and it has been one of my favorites ever since. It is packed with laugh after laugh, and even though I know what is coming, I crack up everytime. Having it on Blu-ray is a huge plus and every comedy fan should definitely have this movie in their collection!! The digital copy is a big plus because I have purchased blu-ray movies in the past and only about 1/3 of them actually work. So, as a word of advice for comedy fans, buy this movie!!!When this movie came out, I had no interest in seeing it at all.
