It helped me unlock the power of EAX and better Midi synth. On Windows XP it works flawless, on Vista and beyond only recognize EAX through software, but works in the end of the day, but requires to add compatible games to the software Creative provides. On Linux it recognize instantly, but doesn't come with Creative software. Only thing I dislike was the sound interference, but if you use a filter you can minimize that, overall really worth the purchase.

    Awesome

    Top of the X99 case of Motherboards, has more features than you'll ever use and even has rgb. Even though Asus has a new flagship this board is still relevant. In 2020.

    5 points Solid, no problems!

    This review is from: ASUS Rampage II Extreme LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard Pros: Owened since it came out 2009 now I want a few more things like sata6 and usb 3 not a hiccup keep up on updates for everything, don't get mad video cards, ports, drives, even memory, I may have to buy a new one soon go ASUS Cons: none rellly except original upgrades to make eberything work together, but not asus's problem Other Thoughts: will always buy asus on mu asus laptop now and so will my friends

    Rampage II Extreme

    This is a super motherboard,loaded with features and excellent quality.While the $350 USD price may be a bit tough to swallow, the extensive feature set, excellent overclockability, beautiful aesthetics, smart layout, and functionality is not. Like a fine bottle of champagne or a stunning Ferrari, the ASUS Rampage II Extreme may not suit everyone’s preference or budget, but it does sit in a class of its own. ASUS has done an outstanding job on this motherboard, producing a top-notch product that offers premium performance for the discerning and demanding consumer, and they’ve done it in successful fashion.

    could not ask for a better board at the time of its production.

    this is one of the best board i have ever used. great for overclocking and has all the bells and whistles. I think that this board is great price for the bang it is a great upgrade from my previous m2n48 sli deluxe. great job as always by ASUS...
