Product Information

The Guilty Gear fighting series makes its Wii debut with 23 playable characters, 14 backdrops, and a retooled combat system. Once again the action unfolds from a side-view perspective as anime-styled combatants unleash an assortment of punches, kicks, slashes, and special moves in dramatic, stylish fashion. The fast-paced fighting system introduces three new countering and defensive techniques to master: force breaks, throw escapes, and slash backs. Move lists for each character have also been tweaked for more balanced battles, and two fighters (Order-Sol and A.B.A.) make their first appearance in a U.S. game.<br><br>Five play modes include Arcade, Versus, Survival, Training, and "Medal of Millionaire." The latter rewards characters with medals for stringing together elaborate combos. The more medals earned during each fight, the higher one's score. Accent Core also features an assortment of options, allowing players to customize everything from button configurations and round lengths to AI settings and time limits. Multiple controllers are supported as well, with players able to use their choice of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk for gesture-oriented attacks, or the GameCube and the Classic Controller for a more traditional experience.

Great Choice for GG fans
GGXXAC is one of the many manifestations of the glorious Guilty Gear series. Featuring unique graphics, excellent music, exquisitely balanced gameplay, and a delightfully quirky cast of characters, the series has long been considered a 2D fighting game quite unique in its own right. Guilty Gear has been released in a plentitude of versions to expand and test various options of play, and GGXXAC for the Wii is the most recent one to come to our shores (at time of writing). This version's most striking features are the multiple inputs that can be used--the Wii Remote and Nunchuk configuration, the Nintendo Wii Classic Controller, or the Nintendo Gamecube controller, allowing the player to choose whichever method is most comfortable. The game also displays a wide range of difficulty, which can be considered either a feature or a frustration. The game is definitely capable of posing a challenge to almost any players.

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core for the Wii
I loved Guilty Gear for the wii when I first played a friend's copy. I new I had to have it, when a complete and utter novice at video games like me was able to beat the best of my friends. The commands for attacks are well thought out and are manageable for even a novice, when using the classic wii controller or a game cube controller. Using the wii remote is a fun and interesting experience. The art is excellent and each character has loads of personality. I liked very much that they kept the Japanese phrases attributed to each character. All in all I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to all and sundry.I loved Guilty Gear for the wii when I first played a friend's copy. 2d fighters will love it
the most current of the guilty gears (GGXXAC PLUS will be out soon, love the overall asthetic of the game and unlike the capcom and SNK fighters (which I love too) this game actually looks awesome under high def/progressive scan (which heavily exaggerates the age of the Neo VC and KOFOS games). Truly a blast to play with it's own unique yet more easily learned gameplay. Traditional fighting fans may want to get a stick (the other control options are neat but c'mon it's a 2d fighter get the Hori Fighting stick wii or the Neo Geo Stick 2 for wii you can't go wrong with either).
