The third entry in BioWare's high-fantasy action RPG, Dragon Age: Inquisition takes place in the midst of an ongoing war between mages and templars, and charges players with tracking down those responsible for sewing cataclysmic chaos. Gamers choose their character's sex, select from the Dwarf, Elf, Human, and Qunari races, and pick between the powerful melee attacks of a Warrior, the stealthy arrows and daggers of a Rogue, or the elemental magic of a Mage. They then form a party of four and set off on an adventure across the varied environments of the continent of Thedas.<br><br>Though not truly an open world, the lands of Thedas were designed to be larger and much more varied than in any previous Dragon Age title, so much so that mounts have been included for the first time in the series. There are 12 potential companions from which to choose, each with unique skills and aspirations, and as the story unfolds players will begin to form complex and possibly romantic relationships with other characters. The action finds gamers capturing forts to open new areas for exploration, setting up new camps to deploy troops, fortifying strongholds, and engaging in battles against all manner of creatures, including dragons so massive players must attack their limbs and tails individually to fell them.<br><br>Combat occurs in real time from a third-person perspective, gamers can switch between party members at any time, and they can also pause the action and view the current battlefield from a top-down perspective to deploy traps and strategically place their characters. The spoils of war, found loot, and crafted items can then be used to customize weapons and armor, and upgrade more than 200 spells and abilities. The choices made in conversations and in battle can have far-reaching implications on future missions and interactions with other characters in the single-player mode, but Inquisition also includes a separate, four-player co-op mode that focuses less on narrative, and more on crafting, loot, and dungeon crawling.

    An interesting RPG, a Transistion to modern RPG games

    They fixed a lot of issues that Dragon Age 2 had. Its a game that held up Better then I expected playing it again all these years later. Overall I think Dragon age 1 had much better writing. And D3 retcons some stuff That I still dont like. Prob has a bit to much focus on romance. (baldurs gate 3 is guilty of this, its the trend for RPGs now I guess) The writing is a bit cringe since the writing feels like a teenagers fan fic Idea of romance. Its a nice light RPG you can get into with a lot of random stuff to do. Much better then I remembered. Combat and game play feels much better then expected. This was really a transition title to the current age of modern CRPGs.

    Worth the buy, need to have a lot of time on your hands!

    I love this game. The graphics are so unique to the game, they are the perfect combination of cartoon fantasy with reality. The shadow quality is state of the art and thats only the beginning. In the Hinterlands, I spent hours upon hours doing random quests that had nothing to do with the main story, while some were repetitive and boring, most were time consuming but in a good way. I have not made it out of the hinterlands but overall, so far its a great game. I have about 10 hours racked up into the game, and I have maybe dont 2 or 3 main quests, everything else is side. As for character customization, there are so many options to choose from. I tried the mage for mine, while it can get boring cause you are basically a ranged attack player, it was still fun.     Dragon Age, Inquisition

    This game is great. My son loves this; he plays it everyday. It has alot of action and its fun. And you don't have to play it online, which he likes. It definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat. Its a must for anyone who loves games like this; and also if you don't want to play online.

    Best rpg game I've played

    Have played most of them and this is by far the best at least top 3 other 2 I would say are mass effect and witcher games. Hundreds of hours of gameplay great graphics and excellent story would pay full price for it anyday
