    I like all the features of this recorder. It even has a slot for a memory card. It's small & compact too.

    Great Product

    Item is outstanding. Makes recording easy and downloading the recordings even easier with its attached usb. Don’t have to worry about looking for the cable to download. Recording is clear even when kept under clothing or with a microphone.

    Handy and easy to use.

    I was looking for something inexpensive and easy to use to move some cassette tapes over to MP3 flavor. The cables and set up to get my laptop to successfully accomplish this was more trouble than it was worth. The settings on the 470 allowed me to do this with one standard cable and no additional trouble.

    Best Value Stereo Digital recorder!

    Great product! This is one of the earliest stereo USB digital recorders. I prefer this product over the newer rechargeable devices because the batteries last much longer than the newer generation which is 1 hour for the rechargeable recorder vs. over 10 hrs for this device. Plus you can change out the batteries on the fly and not have to take it out of service to charge it. Very important during a video shoot! Just turn it on and leave it recording all day. I have not used all the settings or any of the editing functions. You can set the gain to get the best signal to noise ratio for your recording environment. The Sony website has downloadable instructions if you want to learn more.

    Can’t go wrong with this, and saves battery life on your phone (and won’t ring while recording!)

    Very pleased with this low cost but high quality recorder. Ideal for interviews. Plenty of onboard capacity plus microSD slot. Recordings sound quite good when played on devices with better speakers than the built in one meant to keep this unit compact. Battery consumption is very reasonable. Many settings to choose. Menu may take a little getting used to. The “back” button will get you out of any rabbit holes.
