Christmas just got interesting as an ex-convict who is a con man, a thief, foul-mouthed, and has a drinking habit takes the role of Santa. Every Christmas season, Willie T. Stokes (Billy Bob Thornton) gets a job as Santa and on Christmas Eve, robs the stores blind. This time, Stokes gets a job at a shopping mall and with the help of his mastermind friend Marcus, they plan a robbery. However, plans will not be smooth for Stokes as the mall manager has a bad feeling about him, and therefore, asks Gin, the mall's chief of security, to do a background check on him. Watch 'Bad Santa' and find out if Stokes and Marcus make it to next Christmas or inevitably face justice.

Don't watch with Grandma!
I first watched this movie years ago, not realizing how 'bad' it was going to be, with my 80+ sweet Christian grandma! The thing is, despite the disdain for all things good, and the blatant sexuality, it's got a nice storyline. And it turned into our tradition- grandma and I watched it alone every Christmas eve, for the last 3 years of her life. I just love the little boy in the movie. His life just sucks, but he still has hope. He just goes on. He's just the homeliest, nerdiest little kid you've ever seen. But he's just so sweet and you find yourself wanting to take him home! Just a warning, if you haven't seen it yet- your grandma might not react as well as mine did. This 'Badder' unrated version is pretty raunchy. Bad Santa Is For Bad People
If you have never seen this movie, please DO NOT see it with a child. Don't get me wrong. I love this movie. But I'm also known for having a sick sense of humor. The language and sexual conduct is not suitable for children, but if you are an adult with bizarre and eccentric taste, I think you will find this very entertaining. The actors must have had an absolute blast making this film. Some of the content is what most of us wish we could sometimes say, but which few of us would consider doing. From "Santa" himself to "The Kid" and all those in between, the actors portraying these characters are amazing. Once again, I LOVE this movie!If you have never seen this movie, please DO NOT see it with a child. Don't get me wrong. I love this movie. But I'm also known for having a sick sense of humor. A dark comedy to make the season bright
If you like dark comedies, you will love this movie. A very twisted look at the underbelly of society during what should be an uplifting and happy time. You will despise the leads in this movie, but be laughing throughout. It is a great movie and is especially nice as a balance during the happiest season. You will enjoy this especially if you've been shopping and endured the drunk santa or unending hours of Christmas songs and movies. Very funny, very dark and one of my new holiday traditions.If you like dark comedies, you will love this movie. A very twisted look at the underbelly of society during what should be an uplifting and happy time. You will despise the leads in this movie, but be laughing throughout. Bad(der) Santa - average man's view.
Christmas is a holiday that most in the U.S. celebrate in some fashion. This makes the subject of this something all can identify with. As well, the humor, although dark, is also steeped in the truth of what Christmas and society has become in recent years; commercial and shallow. Billy Bob is not a likeable guy, but I did find myself laughing throughout the movie and therefore it was an enjoyable experience. Thus, I would rate it above average with one caveat. If you are prudish and/or easily offended, do not watch this movie.Christmas is a holiday that most in the U.S. celebrate in some fashion. Great Santa movie...NOT for the kids!!!
This movie had a good handful of moments where I laughed so hard I cried. Billy Bob fits the role of this alcoholic, sad, depressed Santa so wonderfully it seems like he's not even acting and it's just him living his life. The chubby young boy in this movie is just awesome too!! There are quite a few surprises in this movie - it's not a predictable movie. There is bad language and quite a few "sexy" scenes. You really don't want to watch this when the kids are awake...it might even be embarrassing to watch with YOUR parents in the room. Enjoy the movie...funny, sad, sexy, shocking, surprising, weird, touching!This movie had a good handful of moments where I laughed so hard I cried.
