I had no idea what it was capable of!
The price was outstanding considering that costs $150 on Motorola's site. It's easy to attach and operate. I wish the lights would stay on during song play like a boombox, but it's not a big deal. It also has a feature that I don't remember seeing advertised: Syncing to an external Bluetooth speaker, like my now 1 yr old car stereo system that I can finally sync music off my phone for the first time ever! AND communicate with Alexa through my car stereo/ smart speaker hookup to ask whatever I generally ask it at home, or look up & listen to other music. Pretty cool! Works just like the brand new Alexa Auto gadget! With the speaker attached, it gives this is very slim phone a better fit in your hand, but I am having a hard time trying to find a protective phone case that will fit with the ... For now I'm using a transparent colored gel case which I turn around to cover the screen when the speaker is attached. the phone screen is sensitive enough to read my touch through the gel case and I can operate my buttons I just can't do my fingerprint. This way I can put my phone face down with the speaker attached and not worry about anything scratching my screen. It would be nicer if the magnetic contacts on the speaker were set out more so that it can connect to the phone even with a case attached. I am using cases that have the cutouts for the camera and magnetic contacts. I have bought three so far they don't fit the mod. But I'll keep searching LOL!

The whole "Alexa" program is absolutely worthless to me, personally. I like to look stuff up and shut lights off and whatever...
No desire to sit on my shoulders all day and have some AI skunt change my music and tell me how many midgets are in the G'damned Wizzard of Oz. Other than that, this speaker is slick as heck! Great sound, long life battery! Love it!! (Now, Alexa~show me your hooters!)

Failed to charge, works otherwise
It is solid, you know when you have it connected to your phone... I don't know if it is because of my phone's age but even when TurboPower charge is active, it will not charge... was charging for 16 hours and never got above 10%. I dont see me using it because of that.

if i had paid the original $150 cost of this thing id be pissed, audio sounds tinny, its not easy to take off the back of the phone, and the alexa functionality is tied to an app that isnt compatible with my phone even though my phone is only a generation or so old. Good sound
I'm not a fan of Alexa (I have the home speaker and for 4k tablet as well) but these Alexa speakers can be found at a great price. Like all mods this speaker just snaps right on the phone and works. You do need to download an Alexa app for it to function properly. The sound is much better than the phone speaker for a large area. To use it as a speaker, do not set it speaker up with the screen down. Instead set it on the speaker side tilted with the speaker exposed as the shape provides. This allows the sound to be amplified by the surface it is doing on. Like all mods this will not with a protective case covering the back.(even with the exposed contact points.
