Refurbished authentic Bose from Bose-ca with 2 year warranty stopped me buying used off the marketplace as everyone was asking the same price and through Bose-ca I new I was getting the real deal. Understanding what soundbar would be best was a bit of a challenge since Bose has altered their line-up a couple of times.

Excellent Value
As a former audio salesman, I used to have to sell against Bose. It was tough because even though we all knew there was some electronic “trickery” going on, the product sounded good. Twenty years later things haven’t changed much. This particular unit (refurbished) is hands down, a great buy. I’ve tried numerous other brands but they all had their drawbacks sonically. The Yamaha had decent volume but was way too muddy for my taste. The Energy Soundbase was not bad but being a base-its way too deep for my application. I’ve also tried non-amplified center channels from Definitive and JBL. Both had their own restrictions. This unit is clear, has ample bass (you will still need a sub though) and sufficient volume. But for just flipping on the TV and casual listening, Bose has won me over…after many years.

GREAT SOUND
I am very please with the purchase of the Bose sound bar. Glad I jumped off the fence about it. The set up was super easy with a couple of connection options depending on the type/age of the TV. I love most that the sound is not the OLD movie theater BOOM, it’s more subtle yet very noticeable. The surround sound quality is on just another level, sophisticated. Everything I’d expect from the Bose brand.

Typical Bose Quality
I got an awesome deal on this product so that will influence my opinion compared with somebody who really forks out some cash. I like the design. Its fairly small. I have a 43 inch television and this tucks into the TV quite nicely. The metal type build is quite nice. Its sleek, small and has a nice look to it. Besides its from Bose. What else to say. Now to the sound quality. If your looking for an awesome soundbar experience you won't find it in this product. Bose is well aware of the market. You get what you pay for. If you want added base, strong watts and all of that you will have to go up the price points like everybody else. If you want a soundbar with good sound and much better than TV sound this might be the soundbar for you. This soundbar has really nice voice emphasis. There is a button on the remote that really enhances the voice quality. That is probably the best sound feature that I have noticed. If you are looking for extra base I think you will be disappointed. It does emphasize base when you want to much better than your television and sounds quite good. It doesn't come close to the upper tier soundbars that have the same feature. To conclude. This is a well made Bose soundbar that I would purchase again. To me the price was the determining factor. Its well made, sounds much better than the TV sound and looks quite nice. I would recommend if price is important.

Does the trick - good quality and features
Great for voice/vocal clarity - lack a little in bass. This is perfect for a apartment but would be better as a center-channel in a larger home. Features are great, however I wish there was an indicator on the bar itself of what level the volume is. Unless I'm mistaken, theres just a power/activity indicator but doesnt show you level.

Nothing your tv does not already have.
For starters, the product does not have hdmi connections or any audio out connections for sub woofer. The bluetooth has to be paired instead of just connecting to it. You can get sound bars with these features for 1/4th the cost of this one new. I purchased this one refurbished for 99 dollars plus tax and could have gotten one with the features like sub out for only 69 dollars new.The sound is nothing great either and since you can't connect a sub to it might as well stay with the tv speakers.
