Great stands for the price
Bought these for my trio's pa and mounted a pair of 10" Kustom PA speakers on them. Used at one gig so far and found them very easy to use, no hassle set up, solid and still lightweight enough to pack in and out. Carrying bag is a major plus even though it's obviously not touring material. But for the light use we have in mind, I don't think we could have made a better choice than these. Surprisingly good quality
After reading comments about Rockville products on message boards I was a bit hesitant to order these speaker stands. However, my application does not require top quality, so I figured they would work for me either way and I took a chance. After they arrived I was surprised how big and heavy the box was. I took this as a good thing, because it indicated they were not lightweight junk. I removed the carrying bag from the cardboard box and I was surprised when I opened the bag and discovered that the bag has two compartments to separate the stands, and each end of the carrying bag has two snap straps to hold the stands inside the carrying bag to keep them stable inside the bag. I removed the stands from the carrying bag, removed the plastic bags from the stands and set them up. They are ... The only issue I had has one adjustment knob was hard to turn but loosened up after a couple of adjustments. These may not be the best stands money can buy, but they are probably the best stands for the money. I actually need four stands, and after my experience with these stands, I will definitely buy another set this week.

Outstanding value and nice stand set!
This stand set with the carry bag is a great value and they are sturdy. I have smaller main speakers on them (powered12" speakers with a horn) and they work great! I couldn't find a better price on a comparable set on the internet anywhere.

Watch the locking pin when disassembling.
The fit onto my PA speakers is confidently 'tight'. The speakers slid on ok but try and lift them off - NO WAY. Had to turn the speakers onto their heads and pull the stands off. If you don't follow this advice then the height clamp assembly is likely to allow the mounting pole to follow your speaker in an upwards direction and the thin cord between the tripod and the safety-pin you stuck in the pole mounting hole is going to separate somewhere. That leaves you with an independent pin that is likely to go missing very quickly. New pins are expensive. The cord did separate from its attach devise but heat-shrink over both items will hold the two together - until the next unsuspecting candidate for the wooden slipper comes along.The fit onto my PA speakers is confidently 'tight'. Was excited at first…
I fully acknowledge that my experience with the one set of stands I received could be completely anecdotal. However, straight out of the box the knob to tighten the height was cracked off. The box was a little dinged up so I blamed that on shipping and fixed it myself by melding it back together with my soldering iron. Then the first time I used them the brace that secures the height of the pole after you insert the pin broke off and went missing. I really wanted to like these because of the price but ALL of the cheap speaker stands I've purchased have had miscellaneous problems whereas NONE of my Gator Frameworks, Ultimate, ProLine, or OnStage stands have ever failed.
