Pokémon Black is a Nintendo game developed by Game Freak. It is supported by both the Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS systems. The release date for this Pokémon title was March 2011 in North America. It was also released alongside Pokémon White, a companion title. Both games are an RPG set in the Pokémon mythos. The main difference between Pokémon Black and Pokémon White is that each version has exclusive content. For instance, Black City is exclusive to the Black version, and White Forest is exclusive to the White version.As with most Pokémon games, Black has you play as a Pokémon trainer travelling through Unova. Unova is a Manhattan-inspired region inhabited by numerous Pokémon. The core gameplay of this game and the series is to catch Pokémon, train them, and battle against other trainers. As you win battles, you and the members of your team become increasingly more powerful. There is also the higher goal here of thwarting Team Plasma, a criminal organization that uses Pokémon for evil purposes.Although an RPG, the game is fairly linear. You travel from one story point to the next. Story points usually have a number of objectives to fulfill. Best DS Pokémon Gen
Pokémon Black is one of the best in the series. Very ambitious in terms of plot, monsters, and setting. Game Freak took a chance by keeping all catchable Pokémon in the first half of the game region exclusive. There is many different opinions on the monster designs, but I am a fan of many of them (Serperior, Chandelure, Volcarana...), and appreciate how this design choice makes for a unique adventure. Pokémon Black is one of the best in the series. Very ambitious in terms of plot, monsters, and setting. Game Freak took a chance by keeping all catchable Pokémon in the first half of the game region exclusive. A hidden gem of a title
This game is peak Gamefreak design. Not is the story actually thought provoking, but it also doesn't grind the game to a halt. Plus it's got just enough exploration to keep you busy without being tedious to go back or find stuff. And the cherry on top? The game is challenging without being grindy and unfun. A shame the fans didn't like it, and now legit copies are priced like rare artifacts. But if you can get it at a good price I'd recommend it.This game is peak Gamefreak design. An updated Pokemon experience for newcomers and fans of the series alike.
I first played pokemon on my gameboy back when Pokemon Yellow Version came out. Since then I have played Pokemon Diamond Version and looked into various other versions of the game. Pokemon Black is the latest edition with more of what you've come to expect from the series with some new additions. The characters, surroundings, and graphics as a whole are improved (especially if played on a newer DS, but look acceptable on an older model as well). No longer are the pokemon just static images during battles, they are now animated and react to certain battle situations (such as closing their eyes when put to sleep). The story is typical fare for the series, as your character (boy or girl) goes throughout the land collecting the new pokemon of the game and battling against ... No real surprises here, though I'm only about ten hours into the game (a portion of which has been spent leveling as always). I have noticed the gym leaders play a more important role in assisting you in the story rather than simply standing around inside their respective gyms awaiting your challenge. If you haven't played a Pokemon game in a long time and want to or if you've played every one of them up to this point, you'll definitely want to get onboard with this game. There's a lot here for new players and more of what you enjoy for fans of the series. I personally care little about Pokemon lore, TV show, card games, and nor can I name all however many Pokemon this new game brings the total to, but as an RPG it provides a solid bit of exploration, discovery, level grinding, and battle customization that I can enjoy the game without any outside knowledge.

It was real
It was a 100% authentic cart of Generation V Pokemon Game Black. This is identifiable by the specific plastics used on genuine carts, and the way they react to direct light. Pleasantly surprised at the reasonable price for the game. Shipped quick with no hassle.

Extremely Happy!
I bought this on impulse, not knowing whether or not it'll work. After receiving and putting it into my 3DS, the icon loaded up and the game runs smoothly! I'm so happy to have it since this was actually my favorite generation and I regretted not getting this version and it's sequel alongside my copies of White and White 2. I can't wait to play through it and relive my memories of playing this generation throughout high school.I bought this on impulse, not knowing whether or not it'll work.
