Love the movie, the DVD presentation is great. Worth owning.
I found this to be a very funny, if quirky, movie about a pair of gay men seemingly destined to be together if they could just get around the prejudice that affects each of them in different ways as well as their own personal hang ups. The movie doesn't get too serious and remains light throughout most of it with a few poignant scenes that make it touching at times and funny at others. For the squeamish...there's an early scene that's a little gross in the first 10 minutes, but it's a very brief (nonsexual) part that only happens once. The rest of the movie is very tame in regards to nudity, violence and language. Overall, it's a really good movie and one I recommend to anyone who is open-minded enough to enjoy a light-hearted romantic comedy involving two ... Love, Love, Love.
I have watched Adam & Steve three times now in less than a month. Be sure to watch it once with the commentary on, it's just as good. Parker Posey laughing at her own stand up jokes cracks me up each time I watch her! The musical montage, "Love, Love, Love" (sung by Courntey Love - which I didn't realize until I watched it w/the commentary) is brilliant! Malcolm Gets is great, Chris Kattan is great, I'm great (I'm not in it, I just like me), the movie is great! Even my straight brother liked it and he has a stubborn resistance when it comes to any kind of romantic comedy. I could go on but I am at work, so I suppose I should...work? One of my favorite romance comedies! I love it!
I absolutely love this movie! I first saw it when I was 17 or 18 years old. I still enjoy it as much as the first time I saw it. It has the perfect amount of heart,soul,comedy,drama,and of course romance. :) Whoever came up with the idea of Adam and Steve is a true blue genius in my opinion. The soundtrack in this movie is really, really good as well. I'm really satisfied with this DVD and it came on the first estimated arrival date which is always awesome. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this product. I recommend it to anyone with a mind open enough to watch it. If you don't mind watching a heartfelt romance comedy with two guys as the main couple then this is the movie for you! Buy it and watch it! It is worth it!I absolutely love this movie! Enjoyed it
The first fifteen minutes or so are like something out of a bad novel. But keep watching as it gets alot better. Watching Adam and Steve fall in love after their disastrous beginning was very nice. SPOILER ALERT: This film does have a well done HEA. The only bad thing is that you cannot turn off the subtitles, which is annoying, but I have had this happen before. Very Enjoyable
This was really funny! I honestly wasn't expecting much, maybe a few funny moments but nothing hilarious, but I was proven wrong. Quirky and witty, sometimes slapstick and a whole lot of heart, this romantic comedy is good for a laugh and also a cry. Heartfelt and humorous...I definitely recommend this film. Parker Posey was the reason i picked it up (she was pretty good, but not amazing in this. A little forced) but the two main actors really brought it home.This was really funny!
