Product Information

The direct sequel to the original Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain and the fourth in the gothic series (which encompasses the Soul Reaver titles), Blood Omen 2 continues the adventures of the bloodthirsty vampire known as Kain. This third-person action-adventure takes place 400 years after the events in the first title. Killed at the hands of the Sarafan lord, Kain is resurrected and must now regain his memory as well as his powers before he can mete out his revenge. As a vampire, Kain requires sustenance in the form of human blood. An onscreen blood meter (which doubles as Kain's health meter) drains continuously, requiring the antihero to feed on enemies or the hapless denizens populating the towns and villages in order to stay alive. Weaker enemies can be dispatched using his bare claws, while stronger enemies will be more easily defeated with the aid of clubs, axes, and long swords found along the journey. In addition to standard attacks, Kain is also capable of performing grab moves and stealth-kills, both of which are highlighted by a short cut-scene showing the gruesome death of his victim. Cinematic cut-scenes also introduce the game's many characters and flesh-out the plot. While Kain's blood meter starts out relatively small, it will gradually increase in size after consuming a victim's "lore" energy or by finding energy in special relics strewn about the world. Blocking during combat increases Kain's rage meter, which upon being filled, allows him to unleash any of his combat-related Dark Gifts: special powers regained at critical junctures in his journey. Charm, for example, allows Kain to possess weak-willed citizens and force them to do his bidding, while Mist makes him invisible when surrounded by fog, allowing Kain to sneak around undetected. As more of these Dark Gifts are acquired, areas previously unreachable become accessible.

Blood Omen 2
This was one of those split decision games. I had never played it before, and I was looking for some interesting games to keep me busy. Blood omen 2 did not disappoint. I enjoyed everything, from heated fighting to good interactive ai. I especially enjoyed Kain's reckless attitude. It put a nice spin on things. DISCLAIMER: This game is NOT for kids. It's important that you know that, because although a 6 yr. old might think the fighting part is fun, he's gonna have night terrors for years about a vampire coming to suck his blood long-range from across the room.This was one of those split decision games. I bought this game because I like anything to do with vampires. It is a lot of fun! It is non-linear so you can roam around which I like in a game. The game play can be difficult at times but not so hard as to take away from the fun. The most difficult parts in the game were the bosses. But that holds true with most any game. Watching this vampire drain his victims when he needs to restore his blood is so neat. The graphics have been done very well indeed. If you like vampires, and this is a great one that does a lot of cool things, you should enjoy the game.I bought this game because I like anything to do with vampires. It is a lot of fun! Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2
Game developed a glitch later on. Anytime you jump, you automatically die. I can jump across water, but when try to jump onto the next level up I die.

I had owned this game on the PS2, however I traded my PS2 for an XBox. My PS2 kept freezing and the games would have to go with it. I have been to multiple stores in several states and hadn't seen this game anywhere. Finally I made a profile on eBay and found it on the first day I was on it. I am so happy with the price, especially for a brand new game. It's made my day. Thank you so much! when the 1st xbox came out i bought one.i thought i was doing somthing,now with the 360,i found myself going back to some old xbox games that were gems to me.i even bought defiance,leacy of kain,the last chapter in the series.it just goes to show you,(how history at that time)repeats itself.i would give anything to see a follw up from defiance?!!!but its been 6 years i think and im still wishing,thank god i started with the zelda series,know what i meen,gene?when the 1st xbox came out i bought one.i thought i was doing somthing,now with the 360,i found myself going back to some old xbox games that were gems to me.i even bought defiance,leacy of kain,the last chapter in the series.it just goes to show you,(how history at that time)repeats itself.i would give anything to see a follw up from defiance?!!!but its been 6 years i think and im still wishing,thank god i started with the zelda series,know what i meen,gene?
