HM Lost Valley is a hollow, tedious cardboard imitation. Disappointing.
I have purchased & played all the Harvest Moon & Rune Factory games. I found this one very disappointing & pointless. Both the characters & the game lack any personality, and may as well be cut from cardboard. Plus, what is up with the bobble-head animation? Usually in these games you come to like or dislike the characters as you come to know them & unveil their personalities. It takes forever to accomplice nothing. Planting, watering & harvesting a decent sized plot literally takes a full game day. Worse, you cannot upgrade your tools, so it will always be one square at a time. Also, your characer has to look and admire each crop he harvests, wasting even more time. There is a sprite whistle that will take you directly back to your house when you have been ... However, you will lose 4 hours of game time when you use it. The pace is so slow I found myself nodding off several times. I never felf invested in the game, characters or plot. Having spent the money to buy this game, I tried to play it through; but, finally gave it up in frustation & boredom. I know the Harvestmoon franchise has split into two companies; but, if this is this one's best, I have bought my last Harvest Moon game. Personally, the Lost Valley should have stayed lost.

Not bad! But get Sky Tree Village instead
I collect Harvest moon so I needed this to complete my collection. It is the same idea as Sky Tree Village (newer 3DS game). But Sky tree looks better and has more going on
