Known for its emphasis on detail, the Spielberger series shows in factory, test and combat photographs, and detailed line drawings, all production models, prototypes and modifications of specific armor and military vehicles. Volume I covers all variations of the Panther tanks, including all vehicles that used the Panther chassis. Volume II on the Sturmgeschutz assault guns, shows all short and long gun versions, as well as the various support vehicles of the Sturmartillerie. Upcoming volumes include: Volume III on the Panzer IV, and Volume IV and the Panzer III.

    Everything you wanted to know about the Panther and more!

    Wow! What a great book! Seriously, if you want to know everything about the PzKpfw V Panther, this is it in one book. There is one drawback though, I don't like the way it is organized, I think if it was divided up in chapters on specific versions it would be easier to use for my purposes (model building and research). As it is I don't think the chapters are clearly defined and I had to resort to the table of contents often to find what I needed. Nonetheless this is one stop Panther info. I really don't think you'll need any other resource except for pictures that is. Buy it, you'll love it!

    The Panther & Its Variants

    This is an excellent book, It covers everything about the Panther tank you can think of as well as it's variants and thier uses. It goes into depth the building and use of this vehicle. It is well illustrated with not only vehicles in action but with pictures of details not usually seen in period photo's. This is an excellent book and I'm really glad that I finally found one in mint condition.

    THE quintessential book on the WW2-era German Panther medium tank, period. Absolutely packed w/ technical data, statistics, tank vs. tank comparisons, b/w interior detail photos, color drivetrain diagrams, etc.
