    Good quality video for an old tv show

    Watched about half the series. Most episodes ok, a couple rather poor. The quality of the video is better than I expected given its age and the probable source from vhs.

    A Show that Was Ahead of its Time and Should have lasted longer.

    The first half of the show was really good with big writing. It had the technology that we do use today in crime fighting. Plus, it was much, much better than the shows that have gone so woke that they are unwatchable. Why this show lasted only one season is beyond me and why this has not been remade is even more beyond me. After seeing PROBE and the way this really worked, it needs to be watched for sure.

    NOT THE SHOW I REMEMBER AS A KID

    I recall this show as a kid and have LONG awaited its release. However watching it again was just not the same. In light of how the world has changed it seems rather lo-tech and boring. I know that's not the shows fault but that was my experience. After spending significant cash on this ''one season'' show I ended up ''flipping it''. I did enjoy watching the one episode where Cameron was kidnapped by his war buddy with PTSD. Blessings, John 20:29

    Search is a blast from the past with good stories and characters

    Yes, this was high value entertainment in 1972. The tech is dated, but stories are still sound. Three detectives (probes) working for privately run World Securities Corporation wearing miniature cameras and an earpiece connecting them to a team of telemetry and subject matter experts, specialize in the recovery of "that which is missing". Standout stories are "The Bullet", where one of the probes (Hugh O'Brien) is tasked with finding an antidote to a deadly toxin which covers a bullet, which he's shot with and unwittingly becomes prime candidate for the antidote. "Moment of Madness" brings VCR Cameron (Burgess Meredith) face to face with a PTSD ridden Korean war vet who was captured and tortured and blames him for it.     Don't call it "Dated"

    Contrary to what another reviewer wrote, SEARCH is not "dated" (I hate that term), rather it's a one of a kind, retro-cool sci-fi detective series. I watched this TV series when I was 14 years-old and always loved the music and the rotation of the three P.R.O.B.E. agents. This show is sort of like a cross between James Bond and a traditional early 70s private detective series, which were very popular back in the 1960s and 70s.
