Peru, therefore, onlyneeds the required capital to install a greater number of modern sugar factories with up-to-date machinery and equipment and to further develop its irrigation systems to become one of the greatest producers of the finer grades of sugar. Mr. Albes covered in popular style, of course, the planting, growing, and harvest common to nearly all the countries of the Pan-American Union. To enter into the details of its development in each of the twenty-one republics is beyond the scope of this article, hence only a general and a very brief survey of the industiy in the principal countries of production may he given. In Argentina the sugar industry has been of recent development. In 1871 the total production amounted to only 1.000 tons. It is only in the northern part of the Repub fertile and well-watered plains, are especially adapted to its cultivation. A wellequipped experiment station in Tucuman is doing excellent work in promoting the industry. The total production of the country for the 1913-14 season amounted to nearly 2o0, (H)0 tons, and conservative estimates place the 1914-15 crop at about the same ligures.     Amazing Statics Book!

    This book is great for studying Statics. It has loads of examples and explains things in a great way. Though Statics is a really tough subject, this book explains almost everything one would learn in class. Its a classroom all in one book. I definately recommend it to anyone who wants to do well in their Statics class.

    Enginering Mechanics,

    Needed it for my engineering statics class. The book is outlined well and has numerous examples that help make learning the subject an easier process. Also has the odd solutions in the back of the book, which is always a plus. Statics is a class that requires a different mindset and this textbook allows the mindset to be acquired faster and more effectively.

    Buyer Beware

    I bought this book because they had the same picture as the "real" book but it was cheaper because it was the international version. While I think it's highway robbery asking college kids to pay top dollar for books - if the international community wants to compete, they have to make the books the same. My son failed his first homework assignment because the teacher told them to the the odd numbered problems in whatever chapter they were studying. Well the problem numbers don't correspond to the state mandated book so he ended up doing the wrong problems. Parents - just buy the right book and forget about trying to save money.
