Flawless functionality
This item does not setup like any other extender i have used. The ones I have setup before require you to plug it into the lan connection and access it that way. The software thst came with this one, programs the extender wirelessly, then test the setup and location after you have put in the required information. The switch from the main feed and the extender feed is generally seamless, sometimes it is required that you just refresh the connection in order for the signal to get fed from the extender. Other than that. You lose about 15-30% max speed, however, the signal gain is about 90-95% increased. I couldn't be happier with this product. It is also very flexible in that if you don't have to plug it directly into the wall, it comes with another plug and you can reconfigure the box to go ... Simple Set-up & User Friendly Instructions!
During the computer based set-up there is an on-screen gauge showing optimum distance from the primary router - EASY-PEEZY!! Walk through the set-up and decide whether an extended range of the existing WAN, or create a new WAN that flows through the existing router. Use the same or a different password - EASY-PEEZY!! Dual antennas for the maximum range!

Linksys RE1000 range extender basically works as advertised
Product basically functions as advertised. However, you need to have a computer with wireless connection to install the software that comes with the installation disk. Manual installation can be a hassle for novice. Once software is installed, you need to try the Extender at different places in your home to obtain the optimum signal strength for devices such as: laptops, IPads, TVs, etc. I average three bars out of four for the EEE Pad I use that is located furtherest from the router. All in all, I would recommend the product to those who have wireless signal strength problems.Product basically functions as advertised. Good for extending
Good for extending but it doesn't mean your signal speed will be good. Your wifi signal will be full but your speed will be reduced because your main wifi has to split your speed. On main wifi I have 175mbps when I connect to the re1000 my speed drops to 15mbps. Bottom line.......TRASH!!

RE1000 setup
Item came on time and I followed the disc install instructions. That’s it! Router signal full strength the LTE signal from internet provider could use more strength.
