The Pentax K-30 is a black 16.3 MP DSLR camera that provides users with a range of options for quality photography. Measuring 5.1 inches wide by 3.8 inches high by 2.8 inches deep, this Pentax camera body contains both an SD card slot and an integrated flash. This flash is capable of collapsing back into the body of the camera when not in use to protect it. With the onscreen menus accessible by the 3-inch widescreen LCD monitor on this Pentax camera body, users can select from a library of preset shooting modes and settings, with the camera automatically adjusting to match the specifications. Additionally, the Pentax K-30 has a selection of filters that can be applied to the images for different effects. This 16.3 MP DSLR camera can take either single shots or be set to take a continual stream of pictures at up to 6 fps for as many as 30 shots. The Pentax camera body offers USB 2.0 and AV out ports for sharing content.

The Little Camera That Can
The Pentax K30 effectively combines some of the best features of both entry level and more advanced models. Its 16.3 megapixel resolution is enough for most users' needs and although the camera has only a rear screen, it still packs in quite a nice selection of advanced features. It is weather sealed and offers a KAF2 lens mount that will allow users to connect almost any K-mount lens, manual or autofocus, made since the mid '70s. The K30 also offers an unusually broad selection of battery options. It ships with a proprietary D-Li109 rechargeable NiMH battery but can also accept four AA batteries with an optional battery holder. For a plastic body, it feels substantial and has a nice, deep grip, making it very comfortable in one's hands. The camera offers both point-n-shoot style scene ... Pentax K30, Built like a Tank, Rides like the Family Sedan, Great camera
I purchased the K30 for a light family photo and car camera, having been involved in photography as a profession for most of my life I have owned a numerous amount of Cameras, mostly Nikon full frame and a mixture of Medium format 2 1/4, 6x7 etc. I have always had a place in my heart for Pentax beginning with the Spotmatic line I still have my 1st,to the 6x7 which I also still own, Pentax has always been a very photographer oriented company. Everything in photography revolves around getting the shot, so ease of operation is everything and this little camera delivers great jpegs in P mode at Auto White balance, Auto ISO, or Ap.Priority, set at f8,K white balance set at 55oo and ISO set at 400,in Raw I am not a Movie mode guy but it seems adequate for Facebook and You Tube, And fits any size ... Keeping the camera still and steady is a big concern, I think Pentax must know this. And always check natural light before opting for flash the cameras low light capabilities will surprise you.

Pentax K-30 a Awesome DSLR, Mens Health Magazine Camera of the Year!
After owning a Pentax SLR for a number of years I had amassed a selection of quality Pentax lenses and I wanted to keep using them. I did a mountain of research of DSLR cameras. I was using a tiny Olympus FE-5 point and shoot digital camera. My hands were too big and that camera was too small! The Pentax K-30 I found on eBay was a treasure! The owner had only used it for 3 months before getting a newer Pentax DSLR for Christmas. This camera was in better than like new condition. It uses all my old Pentax lenses and flash and has a rugged sturdy feel to it. I still haven't got through the vast manual yet but I'm relieved that the camera is smarter than I am. The many digital features and shooting modes are AWESOME! I didn't get a warranty with this camera but I know Pentax quality so I'll ... Money well spent
It arrived before the expected date. I was able to use the previous lens I had with my previous Pentax. Looking forward to using it tomorrow while I am on a college tour with my daughter. Can't wait to see how the pictures turn out. I have taken a few just to test it out and the pictures came out really nice (In the house).

Wonderful camera
This camera is a wonderful and power horse machine and came with manuals and items as pictured. Overall this camera when paired with am 18-200mm pentax K mount lens I already had is superb! I would recommend this camera. It is easy to use in an automatic setting and can cross to the manual settings for the more advanced photographer!
