    Great for the money

    Pros -1080p HD @ 24p,30p or 60i frame rates -cheaper than the next expensive model because it does not support internal memory and down scaling to SD, 2 features I would never use. -Small but looks really good. -Love the touch screen and easy to use interface. -Supports the mainstream video outs and has a mic in. -15x Optical is a plus. -Lens is pretty good and has filter threads. -Battery life with Canon battery is 85 minutes which is descent , but I got an extra capacity one that added 180 minutes! -Onboard mic is surprisingly good and in stereo! -Supports the AVCHD standard -Shooting modes such as low light and cinematic Cons -Uses the mini hot shoe, but I went and got an adapter for it. -At max optical zoom it can get blurry. -Cannot delete videos on the fly, and you cannot format SD ...

    as described

    This camera is great for those of us who do not like to be oversold. This camera has just about all the features the big brother' has you pay an extra 400 for except the flip out screen is a bit smaller yet effective and no hard drive memory. No biggie for me I like a flash card as it imports to my computer real fast. Only one thing, buy a 6+ or higher rated flash card and you do not need a 10 rated card unless you are printing stills on paper of close shots. Like a Pro photographer would need for magazines. This camera works great for the money and has all the attachments needed for a moderate to intermediate/pro job. Such as hot shoe and external mic and ear piece. No line out for viewing monitor though you need to rely on viewing screen to check shot.

    Good for small businesses or people who want to dabble in film.

    There is hardly any manual settings available on the HF M300, however, it is easy to use and certainly shoots good pictures. The onboard video light is a joke unless you are six inches away from the screen.

    Good for the price....

    Not very high end camera. But, good for home videos and such. Battery life is good. Easy to cary. Very easy to use. It has external microphone which is the best part for me.

    Great camcorder, outstanding price, and it's a deal that is hard to beat.

    This camcorder is awesome. The picture quality is great. The touch screen LCD needs to be more sensitive, but it works well enough. The battery life is short because this camera uses a lot of power to record in HD. I bought this $500 camera for $389. This is one of the best deals on the web for an HD camcorder. I highly recommend this camera.
