Remastered reissue of George Harrison's "Living in the Material World" album, originally released in 1973. Contains the #1 Pop single "Give Me Love." Limited Edition CD+DVD comes in a digipack with a 40 page booklet. Deluxe booklet includes lyrics (some handwritten) and many additional photographs from the original session. DVD Content: 4 videos and all visual content is previously unreleased. Features a new video for the 'Living in the Material World' track with footage of the original UK/US LP pressing. 'Give Me Love' performed live in Japan during the 1991 tour (in 5.1 surround sound and stereo). Along with unreleased versions of the songs Miss O'Dell and Sue Me, Sue You Blues.

Better Late Than Never
I didn't listen to George Harrison much after the Beatles' break up. I don't remember why, but I had never heard this music until I unwrapped it and put it in my cd player the other day. This is a premium piece of someone's life. What I've come to appreciate about the songs of George Harrison is the path it takes you on as you travel with him through his life and discoveries. More than pop music, his lyrics are 20th century poetry about one man's emergence from the lunacy of superstardom into the quest for (a semblance of)normalcy and peace. I won't cover every song, but here are some observations about a few of my favorites. George uses a square dance scenario to make sense of the legal issues that followed all of the band after they parted ways in Sue Me Sue You Blues, reiterating the ... As a bonus, the DVD that is included has a terrific video of this song that showcases a beautiful custom dobro alongside the handwritten lyrics...it's very creative. Who Can See It is a beautiful piece of poetry set to an almost haunting melody as George makes his case for having earned the right (during the Beatlemania, I imagine), to have the feelings and beliefs that he has without being criticized or shunned for them. He has paid the price to own his own life. The title track, Living In The Material World, is a joyful piece of music. It has warmth and humor, and yearning...nothing lacking here. If you like George Harrison, and don't have this one, add it to your collection. It's a very good album, and I'm glad I bought it, even if it is 30 some years after the fact. I guess I'm old enough to appreciate it now.

Living In The Material World - Review CD-DVD
This CD was from George, in his Solo carrier, some of his great works, Spiritual, the way God wanted George to be, A great Man, Helping his fellow man any way he could. Some did not like his direction he wanted to go. As a man once said, "Give Peace A Chance" and you too can see the light. Be one with God. All George's Music is something to keep in our hearts. He will be Missed by me alot. I look up to him, through his music, made me wanna learn music. Love you George. Peace be with you. And your Family.
