A vast array of features is protected by a remarkably sleek, elegant and superbly finished compact body. Use the SLR-style Mode Dial on the top of the camera to shift quickly and easily between 13 different shooting modes including VGA movie and custom modes. Lossless RAW format file recording is supported for ultimate control. Canon's DIGIC processor executes complex functions at high speed, delivering superb image quality, fast and accurate auto focus and up to 2 frames per second continuous shooting speed. iSAPS instantly analyzes the scene and makes adjustments even before the shutter release is pressed, optimizing exposure, white balance and auto-focus settings in every shooting situation. The 9-Point Artificial Intelligent Auto Focus (AiAF) system automatically detects your subject from nine fixed focusing areas across the frame, keeping even off-center subjects in-focus. FlexiZone AF/AE lets you scroll the auto focus area around the frame to select the desired subject and weight exposure accordingly. The camera prints directly to all PictBridge or Canon Direct Print compatible printers. Create beautiful, instant photo prints by connecting camera to printer and pushing the Print/Share button, which also speeds up uploads to any Windows PC.

    Baby Steps in Big Shoes

    This is the second of two S70 Canon Compact Digital Camera's. I'm a long time Canon user, with a broad taste in photography. Mostly film camera's by and large, ranging from simple quirky point and shoots like Owl's, Snappy's, and Sure Shot 35 AF to far older vintage Range-Finder's and SLR's. From trendy Canonette 35's, to hefty QT-b's that you could drive nails with. The range is so far-reaching that it still confounds me to this day, when my T-50 will perform on par with F-1N. The S-70 though little more than stripped down bridge model, still has a highly capable lens and spot-in auto-focusing that produces the images that only Canon is known for. The camera will capture in JPEG & Raw, while having a very user-friendly interface that seems to fall under all the right digits. The lens is ...

    A great little camera with lots of sophisticated features!

    I purchased this camera to replace my husband's camera of the same make and model. His old camera simply wore out after years of use, and he loved that camera. The picture quality has always been wonderful with this camera, and it is relatively simple to use, although it does have some sophistocated features that we generally do not use. The sliding lens cover protects the quality lens mechanism, and this feature is the part most susceptible to wear and tear. Unlike more recent cameras of the same size and megapixs, this camera still has a view finder, a feature missing on newer cameras and invaluable in bright outdoor settings.

    Good camera with stunning results.

    The Canon PowerShot s70 is a travel zoom camera that packs a zoom lens into a compact and stylish package.lense has an impressive range. As with other cameras in this class,the lens is on the slow side, especially at full telephoto.Naturally,the s70 has an optical image stabilization system, complete with a dynamic mode for movies and powered mode for telephoto shots. The camera will pick the right IS mode for the situation, so you can focus on your subject instead of adjusting camera settings.I don't mind carrying it around it hides my mistakes and takes stunning pics.

    I will always enjoy using this model of camera. It takes excellent clear pictures thanks to the combination of high quality lenses, an exceptional auto-focus, and simple operating modes.

I love this Canon Model S70 for it's Point & Shoot Capability ! Very Durable Camera that STILL uses Compact Flash Memory Cards. CF Memory Cards are all COMPATIBLE with my many other Canon Models.
