Product Information

Set in 1910, this Disney animated classic offers plenty of adventure, humor and music (especially performances by Maurice Chevalier). After high-society cat Duchess (Eva Gabor) and her three kittens inherit a fortune from their mistress, a greedy butler plots to get rid of them--and collect the cash himself. The villainous servant kidnaps the entire feline family and takes them far away from their comfortable Paris home. A bunch of animal pals come to the rescue however, and help restore the cats to their proper place. The heroic rescuers include the friendly alley cat Thomas O'Malley, the gallant mouse Roquefort, and the hilarious hounds Lafayette and Napoleon. THE ARISTOCATS was the last film personally supervised by Walt Disney himself.

A little corny, but a lot of fun!
Although the mucic (lots of jazz- "Everybody Wants to be a Cat"), catch phrases (swinger, hip cat, scat cats) and some of the graphics in the animation (tie dye psychadelic backgrounds during the music) are terribly dated to the 1970's- the decade in which this film was created- this masterpiece remains a fun watch for all ages. The cats are charming (if not a bit corny in spots), the songs are catchy and the villian is not too scary. The voice of Duchess, the mother cat, is provided by Eva Gabor and she is just so soft spoken and lady like. These qualities totally come accross in the mother cat. Madame Adelaide, a glamourous and retired opera singer, treasures her cats beyond anything in her vast fortune and wants to ensure they are well cared for after her death. But when she wills her ... But will Edgar be able to prevent thier return?

Aristocats: Kids Love It!!!!
I bought this tape Used and my children, one 4 year-old boy, and twin girls-age 2, can't get enough of it. If I would let them, I think that they would watch it three times a day. I guess, that I am guilty for putting it on so often, but I can get a lot of things done, while they are engrossed in this cute little Kitty movie. The music is so upbeat and the animations are so Disney!!! All in All, my kids and I would have to rate this movie, EXCELLENT!!! I had originally rented it from the Library and then my kids got so upset that we had to bring it back to the Library, that I decided to purchase it USED from ebay. By the way, my seller was awesome and sent it quickly!! We highly recommend both the Seller and The Movie, The Aristocrats. I believe I bought it on Half.com., My favorite ...
