À propos de ce produit

Product Information

From the same developer that brought gamers the critically acclaimed TimeSplitters series, comes Haze, a first-person shooter set in 2048, when soldiers no longer swear allegiance to their country but to megacorporations. Players begin as a newly enlisted soldier fighting in Mantel Global Industries' war against the Promise Hand rebels. Mantel serves as something of a peacekeeping force around the world, outfitting its troops with high-tech weaponry and dosing them up with a powerful performance-enhancing drug known as Nectar. Nectar turns soldiers into killing machines, simplifying targeting, and allowing players to move faster and see targets more easily. As with all drugs though, Nectar has its side effects: it blurs vision, it prevents players from seeing dead bodies, and it makes soldiers lose control and indiscriminately fire at both enemies and friends.

There is something not quite right about a peacekeeping force so dependent upon drugs, or a corporation so willingly providing a fix, and the twisting storyline eventually finds gamers fighting with the Promise Hand rebels instead of against them. Though they are technically inferior to Mantel soldiers, the rebels use teamwork and tactical thinking to hold their own. They can harvest Nectar from fallen Mantel soldiers and use it to make enemies overdose or go on a self-destructive killing spree. Driving sequences offset the FPS levels, and online play provides a number of other options including a four-player co-op mode.

  • Haze (Playstation 3)

Haze was beat up pretty well by all of the profesional reviewers. I on the other hand enjoyed this title by Ubisoft very much. The story is: you are a guy named Carpenter working as a soldier for a company called Mantel. Mantel makes this revolutionary drug called Nectar that enhances a persons abaility to heal and perform in combat. What mantel doesn't tell the soldiers that are working for them is the drug is highly adictive and alters a persons view of reality and after longer term use of the drug it will cause you to die a painful death. Rebels are stealing Mantels Nectar so you are sent in to stop the rebels from stealing the nectar. The rebels want to destroy the nectar because they are aware of the side effects. The first 1/4 of the game you play as a Mantel soldier killing rebels. ...

  • Haze (Playstation 3)

This game is rated above average/good. I expected a little more action and fun. The game characters are wanna be gangsters. They cuss like their from the hood. I was surprised that Sony would let a game maker company use foul language. This system is played by younger kids as well....The game graphics are fair by not HD. The game controls are tuff at times. Especially when you want to drive the vehicles/ trucks in the game. You are required to push the square button option. It takes awhile before you are able to jump into the truck and drive off. I should have waited and rented this game. The TV commercial made the game look better than it really is.

  • Juice And Shoot! BOOSH!

Haze is a fun, if flawed game. Developed by Free Radical(now Crytek UK) and published by Ubisoft. Haze's story is interesting and well done, though after you join the rebels it slows down and stops being interesting. Haze's story follows a Mantel solider Shane Carpenter, he goes into the war with the dream of being a hero, but he shortly learns that Mantel isn't there for the war and just there to make money. Shane then joins the rebels and uses eveything he learned against them. Both sides have there own unique abilities and are fun to use. Haze's single player campaign is unfortunetly a few hours long and the AI is... somewhat stupid since they hardly use there abilities. Haze also features 2-4 player drop-in and out co-op which makes the game much more fun, if easier. Haze also has 2-16 ...

  • Worth a look.

A rare two player game and worth having if you have some one you want to be able to play a good shooter game with. The car is a little funky to drive, I find myself driving over cliffs on accident quite often. I find the using of a drug in order to boost power including speed and aiming sort of realistic as far as playing an actually military soldier because I could see our government doing such a thing to our guys. However the drugs ability to light up your targets like an x-mas tree comes in very handy just dont let yourself become overly dependent on it or you will find yourself losing control and going into a sort of Berserker mode where you shoot anything that moves if you want to or not. I have not reached the end of the game yet so i cant comment much further than this right now.

  • good value, no 4-player split screen mode :(

Before this game was released they advertised it as having up to 4-player split screen mode. Apparently the game designers had a change of heart and nixed the 4 player. If you read reviews on the internet this game gets bad reviews. For this reason I believe the price is artificially low, and you actually get a lot of bang for your buck with this game. Its kind of like PS3's version of Halo. If it had the 4 player split screen I would say it was better than Halo 3. When my buddies come over and we all want to game at the same time we have to play Resistance, as ps3 really doesn't have any other first person 4 player split screen games, at least not that I am aware of.
