Very entertaiinng book. I hope Brian's writing a sequel!
Brian Johnson, you've written a cracker of a book! Impossible to put down. A very entertaining and incredibly funny book. From humble beginnings to super-stardom, Brian takes you along on the journey of his life, but all revolving around the cars he's owned, the interesting drivers he's interacted with, fellow car enthusiasts, fellow amateur and professional racers and most importantly, band mates. AC/DC band members aren't the most public of figures. Here, we get a small glimpse into their lives and find out more about these very humble guys. Anyone else of Brian Johnson's fame would be expected to be disconnected from reality. But once you read this book, you'll come to the conclusion that he's a salt-of-the-earth, rock-solid guy who would have a beer with you at the pub. There's no ... There's no chronological order from start to finish. You can pick the book up, open to any page and just read a chapter. Chapters are short (some are only one page long). The book is not targeted specifically at car enthusiasts who are rock fans. But it's definitely a guy book. Guys will relate to a lot of the yarns in it. Brian has a way of telling a story about stuff we've all been through growing up, chasing girls and trying to have a good time. The language used is brilliant. As you read, you can always hear Brian talking in his Newcastle accent. He writes as he speaks, and it makes the stories even more entertaining. He has a way with words and uses expressions that will put a smile on your face. A definite recommendation for any guy looking for a light and entertaining read. (The Cliff Williams air condition story had me laughing out loud.)
