Short Circuit (DVD, 2004)
When a secret Defense Dept. robot is zapped by lightening, it's program is changed fron a killer-assassin program to a peace activist/pacifist mentality. The escaped robot, simply called #5, is rescued by a gentle young woman named Stephanie (Ally Sheedy). Thoroughly convinced that this robot is human, she has every intention of keeping it, even though she knows that the government is looking for it. She teaches it about culture, life circumstances, and human emotions, developing a strong bond with it. In order to prevent #5 from being captured by the government, Stephanie and #5 must convince its inventor, Newton Crosby (Steve Guttenberg), a reclusive scientist, that he is truly alive and not a threat. A great movie from my childhood. This movie is entertaining for the entire family.
I bought this because it was not available on any of the streaming apps on my TV. It is as good as I remember it when I saw it in my youth. Everyone in the family enjoyed it. It has a few swear words which let's face it, our children have heard in our times of frustration. It's a cute story with a few laughs mixed in the story!

An great all around entertaining movie for all ages
I really love this movie I like how # 5 comes alive and how he interacts with humans and his friendship with stephanie and ben jabituya loved his accent . Its was a great all put together entertaining movie .

Short Circuit is just a fun movie ! For movie night ! I love G.W.Bailey, Steve Guttenberg, Fisher Stevens, Ally Sheedy and of course Tim Blaney our beloved Short Circuit ! Fun for whole family !

Classic Movie
Short Circuit (First Movie) was a hit from the beginning and continues to be full of tongue in cheek humor, techie (GeeK) humor, and anti-establishment humor. (It's HUMOR folks!) In this day of political correctness, Short Circuit would not have made it past the starting line. Thankfully, it is still around, still making us laugh with PG type comedy!
