What a Nice Sub-$1500 Receiver With 7.1 and 100 WPC Power!
The Marantz receiver is made by the same company as Denon, so the remotes are similar as well as features. The setup is very easy, and it even has a step-by-step setup assistant feature in the online setup menu. I have a 75 WPC Denon and the increase to 100 WPC is very noticeable. The sound is clean and movies on my stereo setup sound great. If you have a 7.1 speaker setup I wouldn't hesitate to get this receiver. It includes a graphic equalizer in the setup to tailor the music to your liking as well as the standard movie, music, game, and pure sound modes. I also use a 4k Fire Stick and switching between Directv and the Stick is easy. I do'nt have an 8k tv but it's nice to know it is there should I ever get one. Still Relevant in Today's Home Theater 2023
Still relevant in todays home theater. The Dolby Vision HDR is spectacular on our Sony 4K TV. Sound is is better than any theater. I am running a power amp and 2 subwoofers. I like the clarity and tone much better than my Yamaha RX-A 1070. They both sound great to me but Marantz sounds just slightly fuller. As far as jazz music I think my Yamaha takes the throne. But we got this SR5015 for the Dolby Vision HDR contents in Netflix and Apple . It's still much better than the new Marantz Cinema 70 which I ended up returning after comparing with the SR5015. Cinema 70 is new slimmer but lacks the muscle and power of the SR5015.Still relevant in todays home theater. The Dolby Vision HDR is spectacular on our Sony 4K TV. Easy To Configure
Good sound and the setup microphone makes it easy to configure the speakers to your room. Also the fact any video input can be assigned to any audio input is very convenient.

They were a welcome surprise. This was a very good transaction, thank you. Too bad the speakers were not included, bot oh well.
