In this book, Miles talks about his life from his earliest memories until the year 1989, which means that it covers 63 years of the life of one of the greatest jazz musicians, Miles Davis. For me, it was very interesting, actually fascinating, to read the book from the very beginning, watching Miles grow, finding out how he got to New York and how he got to play with the great bebop players Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie, reading not only about music but also about miles' personal life... To make this short, there was not a single moment when I would be bored, it was fascinating from the very beginning until the very end, it certainly is a must-read for anyone who wants to know about how the music was back in the old days and for every jazz fan, because it gives a very detailed look on ... Used book in very good condition
During the quarantine, I've been reading books about Miles. I find it deepens my appreciation of the music, his genius, and his demons. A friend recommended the autobiography and I am pleased to see the great condition of this book.

Miles Davis' view on music
Miles has his strong opinions and willing to share them. And his opinions are almost as strong as his music. An important figure in the Jazz world. He tells it as he sees it.

LOVED IT!
You will truly love this book....its raw, gritty, sad, funny, happy, ridiculous....everything that jazz represents ....Miles gives you the 101 in jazz history thru his personal life journey. I did not want the story to end!!
