    Autographed Copy of Audacity of Hope by Barack Obama

    After reading this book of Obama, I felt that I wanted to get an autographed copy. I had a friend of mine who is an expert on autographs look at the two up for auction and he informed that autograph was truely Obama. I felt that Barack Obama just might become our next head of the free county. I found the book to be most exciting. I met Obama a little over a year ago and was very impressed with him. So it made since that I read the book. It was a life story and and a current on how he feels about this country. I would recommend anyone to pick up Obama book to just get a good idea of someone elses view. You know JF Kennedy was the only other president that only held a one term as a Senator and then became one of our most outstanding President in history. Read this Book and ...

    A good book, well written, but not a difinitive source

    Let me begin by saying that I love President Obama, I am a teacher so I want to learn as much as I can about the guy so I can present accurate information to my students.Now the review. The book is good, but rarely does Obama take a stance on where he stands with the issues put forth in the chapter titles. The book is extremely well written, or well edited, in whatever case I think I am smarter having read it. If you enjoy this genre of book,you will most certainly enjoy Mr. Obama's book, however if this is not your typical read, it may be a slow process to muddle through each side of the topics Obama painstakingly describes. Either way, enjoy!

    Audacity of Hope

    I became interested in Barack Obama after seeing him on Meet The Press and wanted to know more about him. At the same time the title of his book caught my attention as hope is hard to find these days. Mr. Obama is very articulate and thoughtful in his presentation. He takes you from the campaign trail in Illinois to the US Senate with many down to earth observations along the way. He really makes you feel like he understands the problems of the day, of the people he represents, and these problems relate in the big picture. If you hate politics and everything about politics this will be a tough read. This book does go beyond the politics from time to time and the underlying message is worth your time.

    Barak Obama's hope for our future

    I recently purchased the book, "The Audacity of Hope" by Barak Obama and it is one of the best political books ever written. I particularly like the way he reminisces about his childhood and all the diversity in his family. It shows the common man theme throughout. He makes you believe he is "one of the people"; which allows you to believe what he says as truth. He has a great idea of a future democracy that is based on the original ideas of our founding fathers. This book was purchased as a gift and since getting it three of our family and friends have requested information on where to get it. Some have even called dibs on reading it after we finished it. Barak Obama is the 21st century FDR. He wants to do away with racism and sterotyping and economic classification. He has great ideas ...

    The Audacity of Hope by Barack Obama

    I am not a literature critic, nor I pretend to be one. I am an avid reader and I read like I imagine all readers do, what appeals to them. First of all politically speaking I am an independent, and knowing as little as I did of Obama, the reading of this book prior to election day was a must. My goal was not to focus of the literally expertise of Obama, but more so to capture a vision, a plan the man. I believe the book to be a refreshing reading and denotes the deeply rooted social conciousness of the author, it is certainly a book for every american to read. Jose Amezaga
