À propos de ce produit

Product Information

A popular series in Japan, Baroque makes its U.S. debut as an action role-playing game with dark, religious overtones. Players will journey into a foreboding tower filled with horrific monsters, mutated humans, and mysterious angels. The world is essentially a distortion of reality that finds everything in a constant state of flux. How this happened is a complete mystery -- as is the lead protagonist's past. The only thing the protagonist knows is that he must venture into the Neuro Tower to atone for a past sin. He can save the world, so he is told, by battling the bizarre creatures lurking within each randomly generated room and reaching the tower's bottom floor. To defeat the monsters, these so-called "meta-beings," players will be able to find and use an assortment of weapons and items. While Baroque's content is the same on PlayStation 2 and Wii, the latter features motion controls, a 16:9 aspect ratio, and progressive scan support.

  • Good Bizarre Dungeon Crawler

If you are looking for a bizarre game to waste some time with, Baroque can help you. You are The Protagonist, and you have a very simple goal. Go to the deepest level of the Neurotower in the distance. Apparently the tower extends as far below-ground as it does above, and you want to make it to the bottom. I wouldn't recommend this game if you aren't a dungeon-crawler enthusiast, because the entirety of the game is spent going through level after level of baddies, traps, and secret rooms looking for the way to the next level down. Once you make it to the bottom-most level, you find a surprising and confusing truth. You are then immediately ejected out of the tower, lose all of your equipment and levels, and are tasked with completing it another 3-5 times. Also, the tower gets deeper each ...

  • interesting enough

I am not anywhere near being finished with this game yet, but I am not an avid video gamer (wii is my first system ever :) ) and I do not play often or for long. So far Baroque has an intriguing storyline and a lovely surreality that appeals to my tastes. It's confusing and frustrating when you die and lose all your items, but you find out new pieces to the story when it happens. This kind of difficulty is to be expected though. The only thing I am disappointed with is the fighting is still mostly pushing buttons, which is what I got the wii to avoid. There is only one attack that uses motion sensing, and there's no way to vary the way that attack works. Overall pretty cool, I just reccomend reading reviews and descriptions before you buy so you know if this is your kind of game.

  • A good game

"A surreal, paranoia inducing dungeon hack that stimulates the eyes, ears, and mind." Saturn has come and gone, but a few games really struck me as being significant. Baroque is one of these titles. Although it isn't known by most gamers and there isn't a FAQ available for it, it deserves gamers attention. The game was developed by Sting, former Square employees and the makers of Evolution for the Dreamcast. It would be categorized as a first person RPG that takes place almost entirely in a dungeon--known as Dungeon Hacks amongst lovers of these type of RPGs.

  • Crazy game

I love the uniqueness. I hate the fact you have no idea wtf is going on. You go through dungeons and dungeons and end up resetting back to lvl 1 with no explanation. This is not a typical hack and slash. It plays with your mind. Probably a good 30-40 hours of play to beat it. Highly replayable.

  • new game

was fun to play, looked very good ,was easy to play, and my daughter liked the game, lot of good information about the game it self from seller.
