The go to tablet for web, and steaming music/movies.
I love this tablet. I bought this with the expectation of using it for light web browser, and to stream movies/music. This is why I went for the fire HDX with the better processor and graphics. I also wanted something not to large, and that was still portable so I choose the 7-inch. It easily fits in my inside winter jacket pocket (without a case though). The unit is surprisingly thin, and is not to heavy. (Again without a case) It also easily fits on gym EQ for streaming music/movies while working out but anything larger than 7 inch in my opinion is to large for using at the gym. You'll have a hard time putting it on EQ that have ledges etc or fitting it in a pocket. I think it is perfect if you don't care to watch what they have on the TV's (if your gym has TV's) and you’re on ... I love this tablet. Yes, thank-you. Make sure you have a good blue-tooth headset though, which you can use with the kindle. Battery life is extremely long lived, even when watching movies streaming NetFlix it lasts a very long time. I've watched probably a good 6-7 hours without needing to recharge it while streaming NetFlix. The screen is beautiful! Though it does have some glare issues, but overall it still has a great picture quality. The sound is great, it can reverberate if too loud and the speakers are rear facing on the upper backside of the unit. Would have been much better if forward facing but still extremely good. The wi-fi link is great; I don't use a service though since most places I go has free wi-fi (gym, school, work) but the auto-sync works great. I am an apple user so nothing transfers as far as movies, music from itunes, etc so that does cramp my style. This was not unexpected though and for obvious reasons I understand but heads up. Also, can't use nook items, which I knew would happen too, but sucks having to re-buy books/movies if I want to watch them on here instead of the iphone/ipad. Just for quality the quad core on this HDX was a deciding factor though instead of the Samsung. I loved the integrated E-mails and the way the display it on screen. I have every single E-mail account logged in and check/update and use all at the same time. You can also personal and name each one, work, personal, business, etc. I wish the lock code was longer, better then the 4-digit code that you can use/choose. Has a forward facing camera only on this particular unit. Nice for taking pictures of yourself, etc but not so for taking any other pictures.

Awesome product!! Very user friendly!! Great value and enjoyable to use!!
I have owned a Kindle of one type or another for a while now and have been very pleased with how the family of the Kindle products perform!! My wife is trying a different tablet but I am sticking with what I like and trust!! The ease of using the Kindles is why I stay with them and the HDX is no exception to my experience! It is lighter in wt than the earlier models and the battery lasts a lot longer. The only thing that I do not care for is the amount of unstoppable Advertising that is on the machine. It is something that I am willing to put up with because I like the products that are in the Kindle family, however, it would be a 100% better product if the Ads were cut by 50%!! As far as my experience, I feel that the Kindles are easy to use and very user friendly. I will always ... Top Notch Tablet
This is a great buy, well worth the money. Stereo speakers,exceptional colors and value you would expect from a Kindle Fire. Lightning fast browser and with the internet it makes "computing" a pleasure again. Plenty of room for apps as well as music. I had an HD 8.9 but I don't miss it, I thoroughly enjoy this one. And the Mayday button comes in handy.

Why this model?
The deal is that this edition allows you to listed to a computer generated audio book.It has different playback speeds which is nice. It reads me to sleep and I really appreciate that.,

Gotta love Kindle Fire HDX
I purchased this one to replace my first Kindle Fire HDX that had a shattered screen. This model has quick response to touch screen, large screen for reading, vibrant colors, easy setup and all my books were retrieved and recovered from the old Kindle without any problems. The price point was excellent. Only downside is that the screen is sensitive if not protected, so be careful.
