Product Information

Space Invaders for the Super NES does a predictably excellent job of re-creating four different screen types of the legendary arcade classic: Upright Cabinet, Black & White, Black & White With Cellophane, and Color. In addition, the game features an extremely enjoyable VS mode, which introduces two-player split-screen action to the Space Invaders universe. The winner in this mode is the first to shoot down all the invaders on his or her side. To make things interesting, shooting certain color-coded enemies causes different things to happen, such as dropping the invaders one level, while shooting down the UFO causes the invaders to switch sides. It's a shame Nintendo didn't include Space Invaders Deluxe as part of this otherwise stellar package.

wonderful graphics with great colors.
nice clean cartridge and game plays well with good picture and starts right off the bat so great game if you love space invaders years ago i recommend this game.

Space Invaders (Super Nintendo)
Space Invaders (SNES) is really a great game. I purchased this item for my 7 year old son and he loves it. He and I play it together and we have lots of fun and laughs. A couple of weeks ago my son asked me, "Hey Mom, what was your first favorite video game?" So I told him Space Invaders. Then he wanted to see what this game actually did, so we went to YouTube and watched. And from that moment on, he wanted us to get this game so he and I could play it together. It's pretty cool to play it as often as we want and not feed quarters to the machine. LOL.Space Invaders (SNES) is really a great game. I purchased this item for my 7 year old son and he loves it. For its time in the early 1990s, the Super Nintendo port of the classic Taito space invaders is actually very good. While simplistic, it is true to the original. Sound effects and graphics are extremely close to the arcade 2978 version. Remember, this is 25 years ago in the days before the actual ROMs were available for faster systems with emulation. Super Nintendo-Space Invaders
I was very excited to find this game that I had long since played. I got to share it with my kids and (for now at least) they love it too. I was excited that E-bay has all of these old games to offer and the shipping is almost nothing! I plan on starting my collection all over again, but at a much reduced price from the original. This might be good advice to game players of 360 and X-box. Wait 10-15 years and the price will be a fraction of the original :-)I was very excited to find this game that I had long since played. It was a good purchase, but it was more costly than I anticipated because of the new SNES back label sticker I bought.
The pros are it works and the graphics are good. The cons are while the SNES back label sticker was in relatively decent condition, part of it was outside of the square where the sticker is and as a result, I had to get a new SNES back label sticker to replace the original thus in addition to the original purchase, I had to spend more more money with the replacement SNES back label sticker.
