let me first say that i got into the ah! my goddess series just by chance. i bought the AMG feature movie used and loved it and so did my daughter, she particularly loved the first episode of mini-goddess as a special feature. so much in fact that we would just let it repeat so she could watch those 7 minutes for what seemed like hours. anyway, that is what spurned the purchase of both the ah! my goddess boxed set and the mini-goddess boxed set. it is perhaps the best buy i have made in a long time for my entire family! we all enjoy them so much. my wife, whom i have introduced to anime, loves both series, although she rather is more compelled with the life dramas(somewhat naive) of the belldandy/keiichi dynamic. i bought both series more for my daughter, who at this time, is about 7 yrs. ... let me first say that i got into the ah! my goddess series just by chance. i bought the AMG feature movie used and loved it and so did my daughter, she particularly loved the first episode of mini-goddess as a special feature. so much in fact that we would just let it repeat so she could watch those 7 minutes for what seemed like hours. anyway, that is what spurned the purchase of both the ah! my goddess boxed set and the mini-goddess boxed set. it is perhaps the best buy i have made in a long time for my entire family! we all enjoy them so much. my wife, whom i have introduced to anime, loves both series, although she rather is more compelled with the life dramas(somewhat naive) of the belldandy/keiichi dynamic. i bought both series more for my daughter, who at this time, is about 7 yrs. old. she absolutely adores this show and the opportunity to see whatever episode whe wants is worth any price for her happiness. the stories appeal to younger audiences due to their short run times of 7 minute averages and are very reminiscent of old looney tunes/merry melodies. this rings true for me, as that is what i gre up on. the characters are lovable, unique, and filled with personality. basically they are their AMG counterparts, just amplified for a more dramatic comedic effect. the songs, although are bookending each and every episode(until third season where they changed to a different credit song) can become a bit abrupt for the end of each episode, are in fact so catchy that i actually enjoy them just as much as the episodes they are capping off. the voice actors are very "animated" and have great comedic timing as well as being well acted. most anime is shy of good voice talents and even some of the best animation suffers from mundane japanese to american translation. not the AMG series. amazingly done and worth it at even twice the price. rich

One of a kind anime collection
I have watched this anime series, and I just fell in love with it. The series are short episodes, that are independent to one each other (with exceptions). If you like funny situations, and know or don't know the other series (TV and OAV), watch it, altough to understand the stories of the characters is better to watch it. The dvd comes in a Baily box, which is literally a plastic box that holds together the dvds with some artwork. Personally I always collect the box sets, and that's why I bought this set. the only difference from buying the 4 dvds each one is the box, that doesn't really have anything fancy (if the buyer expects that). the series are short episodes, with situations between the 3 goddesses and a rat that lives in the house. If you like box sets, like me, try to buy this one, but the box, will be just plastic, nothing fancy like other box sets from sailor moon 1st and 2nd season, or neon genesis evangelion, the expensive ones. the package is simple. If you only want the dvds, it might be cheaper to buy them, instead of the box set. you have nothing to lose.

Whenever Keichi leaves the house, Belldandy, Urd and Skuld shrink themselves to play with the other residents of the area - including their clueless rat sidekick, Gan. Whether it's a battle against Gan-zilla or adventures in kitchen appliance romances, the goddess adventures are dangerously funny! Although frequently the butt of the goddesses jokes and the victim of their mistakes, Gan the rat persists in his absolute devotion to Belldandy and never questions whether Urd and Skuld may be dangerous for his health...Whenever Keichi leaves the house, Belldandy, Urd and Skuld shrink themselves to play with the other residents of the area - including their clueless rat sidekick, Gan. Whether it's a battle against Gan-zilla or adventures in kitchen appliance romances, the goddess adventures are dangerously funny! fun for everyone!
Ah! My Goddess mini-series is filled with laughs, adventure, and romance! All wrapped in a cute little package all can enjoy :] it also has dual audio [english/japanese] and english subtitles

The Adventures of Mini Goddess
Truly an enjoyable expenience. What Urd and Skuld do to poor Gan Chan (a nice rat) is absolutly hilarious. A must for any Ah! My Goddess fan.
