I’d seen Whoopi’s new book on the View and searched but it hadn’t released yet. I continued and found one autographed. I love signed books so decided on this. It was in great shape. Excited to read it and add to my collection.

  • WOW!!!

This is one of the best books that I've read in about 25 years. Once I started reading this, I made sure that I got the 2 sequels to it before I even finished this one. I don't think I've ever read this type of book before - I'm not sure what genre it belongs to. Fantasy? Novel? Whatever, it was absolutely fantastic! I'd love to find a lot more books that are as good as this one was.

  • Great author, great imagination, hope he writes more books. So different!!!

The author is amazing and has a wonderful imagination, without being gory and gross. You must read the first book first, about the Peculiar Children, then this book. When reading this book, it will take you away from where you are, it is hard for me to put down when I pick it up. Who would have thought to add pictures that are perfect for the subject matter. I love this author!!!!

  • Hollow city

Great book! Great series! The pictures that are in the book the author has collected are amazing and fit his characters so well.

  • An exciting story in a fabulously creative book.

This story is written for youthful readers and I am a 55 year old, experienced reader. It is not the story itself which I find entirely unique about this book but how the author spun the story by weaving together hundreds of old, unrelated photographs he collected from flea markets and junk shops. I find that utterly astounding and he does it very well. The old photos are included in both books. Both books are very well designed.

  • Enjoyable Reading

Read "Miss Perigrine's Home for Peculiar Children" first, then couldn't stop! Ended up reading the entire trilogy. It is very easy reading with very enjoyable illustration and great characters! I'd recommend this series.
