Finally, help for the Adult Child of an Alcoholic
This book is for Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACOA) and is a daily guide for recovery. It is used in Al-Anon & ACOA meetings in addition to the Courage to Change. Alcoholism is a family disease and recovery from being programed into the ACOA rolls (such as the hero, scapegoat, invisible child and mascot)will benefit the reader plus assist them to understand the disease. It gives empowerment where there is hopelessness - allows the ACOA to move out of denial and into the reality that they do not have to be an enabler, victim or persecutor of the alcoholic. Stopping these rolls enables the alcoholic to face their disease and finally the ACOA detaches with love. Sometimes the change of attitude in a home will aide in the recovery of an alcoholic or their enabler. Many recovering ... Another great tool for Recovery
This is yet another great book for daily support. Simple and to the point. No matter if you are in Alanon or Naranon this book can be a helpful tool if you are dealing with the effects of someone else's addiction. I recommend it. The readings are one page long but packed full of useful tools and shadings from others in the program. Just setting aside 5 minutes out of each day to read 1 page.. maybe when you wake up (to start off your day, or before you go to bed (to end your night) can be so beneficial.This is yet another great book for daily support. Wonderful daily reader for adult children of alcoholics
This is a wonderful daily reader, especially for anyone who grew up in a home with a problem drinker. The book has great insight on how we have been affected by someone else's drinking and what we can do about it.

Truly, this is hope for today and tomorrow
The book was in excellent condition. As for the contents, I highly recommend this book. The daily readings are so good. So often, the topic is just what I need for the day. Even though it's suggested for Adult Children, I think that even people who did not grow up in such a family would benefit.
