This Sony PSP 3000 is a redesign of the original launch version of the Sony PSP. Released in 2008, it features a built-in microphone, a thinner, more elegant design, and a beautiful form factor. It has an enhanced LCD screen with a richer color range and five times the contrast ratio. It also features anti-reflection technology for better playability in well-lit areas and even outdoor environments. This device has 64 MB of integrated flash memory for faster load and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with up to 2.5 hours of playability. The PSP offers a Wi-Fi connection that allows users to connect to the internet. You can access new dimensions of the titles you love from any Wi-Fi hotspot or signal, including free patches and a firmware update, massive multiplayer modes, and scoreboards with people from all around the world. The Sony PSP also has an external Memory Stick Duo so that you can expand the available storage. This allows you to download your games from the PlayStation Network onto a memory stick so that you can always save your progress without ever having to worry about not being connected to the web. With plenty of downloadable content and more than 900 games available for the PSP-3000, gamers can enjoy nearly endless possibilities. Sony has even made a number of earlier-generation PlayStation games available on this PSP console, so you can enjoy some of the classics that are otherwise very difficult to find. The PSP-3000 is finished in gorgeous piano black, and it features a range of buttons for the easy execution of every necessary command. Discs can easily be inserted into the slot along the back of the device. The entire device measures 2.9 inches by 6.7 inches by 0.9 inches, so it comfortably rests in your hands.     awesome

    i'v only dealt play station [products my whole life so i can give accurate reviews on the quality of the PS series. it's easy to use and affordable. it wont break down on you like some products do and will weather very well in most conditions i am a heavy user and none of my PS consoles have every broken or stopped working one day due to damage or rough housing. one time my brother even sat on for about 10 minutes not realizing he was sitting on it! even after that it still worked without problem and still does. my psp is durable even though it is used. i protect my stuff cautiously so it can last years without replacing. right now all i can afford is a used one but even so it doesn't seem to perform like a used one it performs like new. and to preserve its performance i put it in a case. ...

    The PSP 3000, awesome portable gaming and media consumption on a budget!

    The Sony PSP is an awesome system especially considering how dated the system is now. It has a big library of games and a lot of them have really good graphics for a portable. This sounds good all ready but when this system really shines is when you look at the prices you can get one for these days. If someone wants to get a PS Vita but does not have the money at the time, the PSP 3000 is a good system to hold you over until you can afford one. It is a pretty feature rich device for the price too, so you are not just limited to playing games on it. It also is an MP3 player so you can listen to music. If you want to watch videos it can also do that. It can display images if you want to look at pictures you have taken or you can save them from the internet. The PSP 3000 also has built in ...

    Mostly awesome, but some annoying quirks.

    I'll admit, I'm probably voicing my opinion a bit too soon. However, I've fiddled around with this quite a bit in that period, and for the most part, really like what I see. From the beginning - the interface...it uses an interface that is basically the same as the PS3 (and, from what I've seen, all Sony Blu-Ray players). It's simple to navigate, allows for extensive customization, and looks really sharp. It also has an internet browser which, once you get used to "typing" with one cursor, isn't half bad. It loads some pages outright, and other their mobile version. The difference, though - the screen is a lot bigger than my Blackberry, and a lot brighter. Hurrah! Additionally, once you're done with your internet, it shuts the wireless off, saving some of that precious battery ...

    The Best PSP to date? With a few exceptions...

    Pros: - Love the form factor that has been continued from the PSP-2000 - Light and super portable. Fits comfortably in my pockets - Battery life is great, I've owned the original PSP and both roughly get the same amount of play time - The screen is AMAZING! Crisp colors and brightness is superb. Cons: - The interlacing problem... - Missing the matte back - They moved the PS logo from the top right of PSP to the home button. This makes it look cheaper than the previous model - UMD spinning is loud, I was at the MVD a couple days ago and I could hear it when it was in my lap. This has been a problem with all the PSP (PSP Go excluded) - Limited number of titles, games have had a lack of ingenuity in the last few months. - No bluetooth or wireless sync Overall its a solid portable game ...

    A great system for any fan of Sony games

    The PSP is an amazing system for any gamer's collection. As the name suggests, it really is like carrying around a Playstation. There are three types you can get: 1000, 2000, 3000. The first is commonly referred to as the Phat, and the latter the Slim. They decrease in size through the line, and gain just a few features. For instance, the 3000 has skype. However, the 1000 is just as good for gaming. All three will give you pretty good bang for your buck, so it is entirely on personal preference which you get. As far as the system goes; it is very bright, comfortable in my hand, and diverse. The battery life lives long. The only complaint is the weight; they are a pretty heavy handheld. The game selection is fairly good, though more limited than, say, Nintendos.
