Utter Cinematic Perfection!!! A modern 1980s neo-noir with SIZZLING, SEXY, ADULT, ENTERTAINMENT that makes you THINK, WONDER, gets you AROUSED, CURIOUS and TURNED ON. GREAT Music. Stylish DIRECTION. WITTY & SMART dialogue. EXCELLENT ACTING. OUTSTANDING STORYTELLING!!!!!! Hollywood does NOT make 'em like this anymore..........this was when movie and film was rated R for adult situations and fantasy without childish, immature comic book, cartoon crassness, Films like this aren't being streamed or sold. Slow paced crime thriller that is very good.
I saw this movie many years ago and remembered that it was good but couldn't remember the details. They told the story very well and the fact that people got hooked in was made very understandable. the plot was really good and the actors made it believable. It was good to see so many actors from that long ago...before their prime years. The risks and negative consequences of the crime was hinted at throughout the movie and we see step by step how the crime and the consequences develop.....It was interesting to see how the leading man started to realize that he was the goat and the fool. It is a great story. It would have been better if they had shown just a little less sex and less offensive language. I saw this movie many years ago and remembered that it was good but couldn't remember the details. They told the story very well and the fact that people got hooked in was made very understandable. the plot was really good and the actors made it believable. It was good to see so many actors from that long ago...before their prime years. Body Heat Sizzles with Great Plot & Characters
Kathleen Turner never looked sexier than she does in "Body Heat" as Mattie Walker. Once she gets up from a seat in a crowd at a summer band concert in Florida and walks across the screen with her crisp white dress and long flowing hair blowing in the wind, you and I are hooked. But beware, she is a vamp, who hooks a less than intelligent lawyer Ned Racine (William Hurt) into a scheme to kill her rich husband Edmond Walker (Richard Crenna). The rest is a film noir of epic proportions. I won't reveal how it all turns out, but let me just say that "Body Heat" is the most underrated movie of the 1980's. How it got past the Best Picture list for its year is amazing to me. The only negative thing that I can say is that the filming is a bit not up to par. Ted Danson has a small role before ... But the movie belongs to Kathleen Turner as she wiggles her way through the legal system using her completely infatuated lawyer-lover in one of his best roles to manipulate her wishes. The music in the movie is a real plus too--so seductive! If you are a man, you will never get over "Body Heat." It makes you paranoid about what a woman can do to you.
