Hard to believe a seller with 175K transactions under their belt still makes rookie mistakes. No tracking, no communication after one message, just not professional. Item was supposedly shipped but never arrived. Refund (and a long-winded, flimsy explanation) came after I simply inquired about the whereabouts of my item. Leads me to think they never sent it in the first place. I've had successful deals with these people in the past, but I don't enjoy playing their brand of eBay roulette.

  • Documentary

The plot is simple: a small poor southern town (in Tennessee) is predominantly Christian white folks with only 5 blacks and one latin ... sorely lacking in diversity, and the faculty of the middle school decides to change that by coming up with a project that ultimately picques the interest of the world, which responds by sending them millions of paper clips. The project involves having students study two other, most diverse, conflicted cultures, while they, themselves are considered prejudicial by northerners; this mixture forces everyone to examine themselves, their values, their preconceived ideas and biases...creating a historic symbol out of the tools of the enemies of freedom, only this time, one conceived and designed out of love, guilt, forgiveness and acceptance of one another.

  • Truly inspirational, a must-see for *everyone!*

A truly moving and inspirational documentary. This movie should be seen in all schools, public and private. My late grandfather was born in Germany, and I was told that he did not believe the holocaust occurred because he couldn't believe his people could do that to each other. One of the death camp survivors in the movie who spoke to the school children about how his mother was sent to the gas chamber and he was spared was particularly moving to me. I can't imagine the horror the survivors have lived through. This movie brings it home and lets survivors know that they are not forgotten, and that we can and will learn from what happened to them. A paper clip was worn on lapels during that time as a sign of solidarity; so the children decided to collect one paper clip for each person ...

  • Highly recommended documentary!

I am an 8th grade English teacher and am in the middle of teaching a unit on the Holocaust. The school I teach at is a small, rural middle/high school in Western Pennsylvania, similar to the rural Tennessee school in this documentary. This DVD is one of the most positive and uplifting documentaries I have ever had the pleasure of watching. I am 26 years old, and this DVD taught me how critical it is for one to be non-judgmental and to treat every single person with the respect I would want in return. I never considered myself judgmental or prejudiced in any sort of way, but this DVD showed me that I, too, like many of the people in the DVD, sometimes stereotype people without even thinking that I am doing it. Students, as well as teachers, can benefit greatly from this documentary.

  • Great film. Must see.

Even though this is a documentary, it makes a great movie. It's a beautiful film. It's amazing how southern school kids in the middle of "red neck" country can do something wonderful for Jewish kids in the Bronks, and all get along so well.

  • papeerclips

This program is about a small school trying to teach diversity. They chose the Holocaust to do so. Their goal is to collect six million papers clips which would represent the six million Jews killed in the Holocaust. The project has some bumps in the road, but turns out to be a great undertaking. How it all happen, what was learned and the message it says to all of us is special. I bought the DVD after seeing another person's copy. I was so moved I wanted to have a copy for my collection of World War II programs. It is well worth the cost and the time spent watching it. Jeff Meek
