SPORT DOG is the Best.. forget new tech crap, this is the Industry Standard..
. I hav used SPORT DOG products for over 2O years.. I think I was one of their first customers.. hah. This brand is a high-quality product and I hav been a loyal customer because, when used as directed, (please, please read the manual) the FIELD TRAINER system works incredibly well.. Iv also purchased the invisible fence/containment area and installed it myself.. almost a decade later its still working.. I even wanted to upgrade from the 14 gauge wire to the 12 gauge wire (a little thicker) prior to installing it, but the rep told me no, just use the wire that comes with it, and he was right. Iv had several of the Field Trainer Collars (pre-schutzhund training) which Iv given away to the dogs new owners when they went to their new homes.. Iv worked with predominanantly German ... . Iv worked with predominanantly German Shepherd Dogs and a few Belgian Malinois/Groenendahls.. there is no other breed of working dog for me.. look at the pictures and youll see some of the GSD lines Iv worked with.. the first picture is one of the best dogs Iv worked with.. she was magnificent and knew over 85 commands.. yes thats me in the last picture, Im the one on the left * grin * I want to tell you that Sport Dog customer support has always been efficient and professional.. I havent had to call much but the few times I did, whether needing a replacement battery or information on a model number, pairing, etc.. they perform and its a plus that information is just a phone call away.. I cant say enough about this product, again, when USED AS DIRECTED, its the best product for a well-trained dog, peace of mind, and a confident owner.. dont go zap-zapping your dog right away.. there is a training process.. by putting on the collar right before going outside, etc (for the first week) the dog associates it with something positive.. after a week, use the tone and vibration first as well so your dog recognizes the warnings.. and lastly, dont feel like a correction is cruel, whats cruel is not training a dog, and it runs out and gets hit by a car or bitten by a snake.. besides, the static correction is equivalent to a static shock from your carpet/TV combo in the wintertime.. enough to get your attention, but it doesnt really hurt. Remember a well-trained dog is a pleasure to be around, is safer and ultimately more confident. if I sound like a commercial, see my signature (hah) but I hav recieved no endorsement of any kind from this company, and hav paid for every single item Iv ever used. 1O out of 1O stars is easy here .. ~capri kendall, radio1media

Great collar
I tried a cheaper unit and it basically didn't work at all. Decided to upgrade and this one works flawlessly. Definitely helps to train my big, stubborn pup with mostly just the sound feature.

Indespensible tools for the loving and responsible pet owner.
We have used E-Collars on our dogs for years. There is a proper technique to using one and when used properly they aren't inhumane or cruel. This series of SportDog items are more user friendly being rechargeable rather than requiring frequent battery changes. Our dogs respond well to the collars and the SportDog in-ground fence system. We've been happy w/ the quality of their products and their longevity. Study and follow the instructions and the various internet videos available and use the products with love and care rather than frustration and anger and you can have happier and safer pets.We have used E-Collars on our dogs for years. Sport Dog Training Collar
Had a Sport Dog collar for almost 11 years and it finally quit, so this yard trainer was purchased as a replacement....of good quality, like all their products.

Great Tool for Training
We purchased this for our 9 month old German Shepherd. He is a rescue who had some poor training in previous home. This works great using the beep option to quit the feet biting and getting into things he shouldn't. Vibrate didn't have as good of a response due to the thick fur. Shock worked well on 1. Stopped him from chasing a vehicle. Highly recommend this product!
