A dramatization of the Stouffer brothers' first forays into the world of nature cinematography. In 1967, three brothers set off on a journey to capture the images of wild animals on film. What follows is an adventure fraught with perils: alligators, moose, bats, bears, and--oh yes--the United States Air Force. Great family fare with little insight into the vaunted Stouffer love for animals.

    Wild America

    This movie is based on a true story, and I believe that this fact makes Wild, America even more endearing than it already is. As a young teenager I loved this movie--and I still love it as an adult. My neice & nephew, 11 & 10 years old respectively, also adore this tale of three brothers exploring nature in its natural habitat. The animals are amazing. Furthermore, the bond between the brothers is developed in a subtle way that ensures the viewer's attention. The story is told from Marshall's, the youngest brother's, point of view...and captivates you from the moment you hear his voice in the opening credits. The only thing that I did not care for was the minor cursing throughout. They could have made the movie very easily without any such language.

    Wild America

    This is a GREAT family movie. There is one brief scene shot at a beach, but it is a distance shot and is quite bland for today's standards. I bought this movie to show at my daughter's "movie night" for her church friends. No one had seen it, and all of the kids loved it -- boys and girls watched in silence. I didn't know the group could even BE that quiet! "Wild America" is a real action adventure and is based on a true story about three brothers in the 1960's who set off on a photography trip to film wild animals. Their stories are sometimes hilarious, sometimes nail-biting. I think everyone who enjoys good, old-fashioned entertainment should see this movie!

    Great family movie!

    Price was a bit high for an older movie but I have about worn out my VHS tape. We love this "clean" and entertaining movie. The original "Wild America " shows are great too. That's why I originally bought the VHS.

    Funny, adventurous, great for whole family.

    Our family has enjoyed this movie since our kids were little - had it on VHS, but our old relic of a video player just gave up. Definitely a movie we had to replace in our selective collection on DVD.

    Wild America

    This is a hard to find movie, so when I saw this deal, I just had to buy it. This is a great family movie based on actual events. The acting is fantastic, the story is inspiring and the amazing scenery makes this movie a great addition to my movie collection.
