Inside the mind of Chuck Jones, wonderful cartoonist...
I always thought there are two types of people in this world: Those who like Bugs Bunny and others who are into Mickey Mouse. Like the theory of Rolling Stones and the Beatles--you like both but you sway to one than the other...LOL Seriously though, anybody who grew up with the saturday morning delight of Bugs, Daffy, Wile E. Coyote, and etc. would love this book that explores the life of Chuck Jones who is no longer with us. The book features drawings, a walk-through of the cartoon DUCK DODGERS IN THE 24th (1/2) CENTURY and a foreward by Steven Spielburg... If you're old enough to remember the television adaptaion of "Rikki-Tikki-Tavi" or if you've watched "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!" pretty much every Holiday season, then you're already familiar with some of the work of animation great Chuck Jones. "Chuck Amuck" Offers are rare glimpse at the work, passion and ginuine love for the craft and artform of animation. In the company of such great luminaries; Tex Avery,Fred Quimby, Friz Freleng, Robert McKimson, and Bob Klampett, (though I read somewhere that Chuck Jones wasn't to thrilled about Mr.Clampett, but I digress) He was a king among kings. The only downside to this book is that it's only 304 pages! A treasure of a book. Any fan of Bugs and crew, this is a must buy! Chuck Jones is one of the masters when it comes to animation. This takes you through his life as a kid and how he came to Warner Bros. and created some of the most memorable characters to date. Do not pass this up. In this day and age when animation is computer rendered, this book will make you appreciate traditional animation even more...and how lost the art truly is.Any fan of Bugs and crew, this is a must buy! Chuck Jones is one of the masters when it comes to animation. This takes you through his life as a kid and how he came to Warner Bros. and created some of the most memorable characters to date. Do not pass this up. In this day and age when animation is computer rendered, this book will make you appreciate traditional animation even more...and how lost the art truly is.

One of the few great books about Looney Tunes.
Amazing and insightful book by Chuck Jones, especially his own production drawings.
