    Clive Barker has always been my favorite author, therefore, this review is biased. I bought this particular because I had not yet read it. While the subtitle, "A Hollywood Ghost Story", did nothing to intrigue me to read it, the story was quite compelling--as are the rest of Barker's works. At first, a couple of the characters in the story were a little difficult to warm up to, however, I could not put the book down until it was read from cover to cover! I love the alternate realities that Clive Barker always brings into his writings. While science-based reality tells us that these other realities cannot possibly exist, he unravels his stories in such a way that makes one wonder if maybe, just maybe, somewhere out there...Is it possible? The passion, fears, disdain, curiosity, ...
