Product Information

An updated version of the 2012 3DS title, Capcom's long-running and complex survival horror series takes to the high seas as players battle twisted mutants through an abandoned cruise ship in Resident Evil Revelations. Upgraded graphics and sound accompany gamers as they guide Jill Valentine, Parker Luciani, and other BSAA operatives through the halls of the SS <I>Queen Zenobia</I> on a hunt for Chris Redfield. From there things get significantly more complicated, with terrorist plots, short land missions, and flashbacks breaking up the seaborne action.<br><br>As always, players must skillfully manage their ammunition, weapons, and inventory to survive their confrontations with mutated monsters. The main campaign offers a variety of difficulty modes, including the new, extremely difficult Infernal mode, while the Raid mode lets gamers battle waves of enemies, level up characters, and earn weapons upgrades in solo or online co-op multiplayer action. The Raid mode also offers more weapons, skills, and playable characters, including the mysterious series mainstay Hunk.

This version pulls the history of Resident Evil Together well
I absolutely love this one! IMHO, this is up there with the ever popular version RE4. I like the way that the designers have written the different chapters from various characters' points of view. It helps the storyline make sense. As with RE5, they have added the map so that you have an idea of where you are, your destination, locked doors, etc. I also love the new bio-scanner. You operate it in every room to find hidden items, ammo, and scan enemies after you've killed them. If you are like me, I like to find a solid written game walkthrough OR series on YouTube. Be warned, however, that the games has an autosave mode, so if you decide to wander off at some point in the storyline, it's going to save any wrong turns or mistakes you make. I learned this the hard way. This game is full of action and plenty of play-time. The graphics are good, however, the mouths of people speaking still look a bit fake. I wish that they could perfect this. As an aside, I DO wish that Capcom would keep the control buttons the same with all of the games in the series as it's a pain to remember what button performs an action. Overall, I highly recommend this game. It's a challenge that will surely entertain for hours. As challenging as it is, it doesn't have a horrendously steep learning curve that other action games have such as the Halo series. As a retired teacher, I would NOT recommend this for even teens (as it's rated) because of the graphic violence. I personally feel that kids are becoming desensitized from the media available to them, but that's my humble opinion. Finally, the game, as with other versions, offers online gameplay with others or multiplayer (up to 4) within a home. Hats off to you, Capcom! I hope you come up with a RE7!

Finally returning at least at little more to survival horror, Capcom has finally made a game that is returning a little more to it roots and has made the best Resident Evil game since RE 4. Is it perfect? No. Is it as good as RE 4? Not even close but closer than RE 5 or RE 6 or RE: Operation Raccoon City. It is a good game and arguably the best game to start with, if you are new to the series, and then play RE 4. It is a good game.Finally returning at least at little more to survival horror, Capcom has finally made a game that is returning a little more to it roots and has made the best Resident Evil game since RE 4. Is it perfect? No. Is it as good as RE 4? Not even close but closer than RE 5 or RE 6 or RE: Operation Raccoon City. It is a good game and arguably the best game to start with, if you are new to the series, and then play RE 4. It is a good game.
