Ipod nano 8gb - personal review/experiences
I've recieved this ipod about a month ago and I'm quite satisfied with it so far. Cover seems durable and pretty resistant. The only thing I worry about is quality of earphones (Sometimes evoke weird static electricity). Control options nad manipulating is, as expected, adequate for brand like Apple. As unexperienced user of "scrolling" I found it relatively difficult to shift songs in requested order blindly in pocket. That requires some training. Shaking mp3 to switch over songs doesn't really attracted me, cause of random shuffling. I would rather recommend shake shifting in queue order. Another cosmetic mistake I noticed is in rotation of the display. Rotation is provided immediately after horizontal view, but only in specific angle which is not so comfortable and easy readable. ... However other additional functions and features like id taging, cover flow and so on are conversely actually sufficient. I headlined deficits, but in general I wouldn't have make up my mind about this ipod nano next time. It fulfilled my expectations.

iPod Nano great except if you are running Windows 2000
I love this wonderful little gadget! I am a runner and this is perfect. The only problem is I am running Windows 2000 and the newest version of iTunes isn't supported. I tried to download older versions but they don't work. My boyfriend took it to work and had me send my files to him. He put the music on for me there. He's working on getting a program called Banche (sp?) for my computer. He thinks that will work. As for the iPod itself. I can't wait to be able to use iTunes or an alternative. The customized play lists will be perfect for running. I will be able to customize music for the different distances I run. I will be able to put songs I really like at points where I know I generally struggle in a run for extra motivation. I've had a lot of fun with the pre-loaded games and am ... The pictures of the album covers is a nice treat as well. I'm from the generation that really appreciates great album art. The earbuds aren't great for running as they jar loose from your ears but that style generally comes with most MP3 players. I just buy the "clip around your ears" type. I have used it in the car with a cassette adapter. That is real nice when you can't find anything good on the radio. I'm sure once I get used to all the functions and especially getting used to using them "on the run" when I can't really look at it, it will be wonderful for running. And once I get the software issue solved this will be awesome!!!

I've had my iPod nano for about a week. I like the size and weight of it and it has great sound. The iTunes store has a huge selection of song, movies, shows etc. I hope there's an accessory to clip it onto my shirt collar so I don't have to hold it all the time or put it in my pants pocket. Also it would be nice if it functioned as a radio as well. I had to uninstall Verizon vcast from my computer because it was interfering with the iTunes software. Songs were not completely processing after downloads. Since uninstalling vcast that has not happened again. Battery life seem OK. I haven't ran it down from a full charge yet but I listened to it for about 3 hours one day and used half the battery. I can't compare it to other brands because this is the first (mp3?) player I've had. ... I've had my iPod nano for about a week. I like the size and weight of it and it has great sound. Music to my ears
I like this Gen Ipod. I love the way it segways the end of one song into the beginning of the next. I run it in an automobile that has a cassette player and I use an adapter. The sound is better than good. It is incredible. The bad; I have to keep it plugged in as the battery life is poor.

When view movies, shows, podcasts with the new Nano, the Nano should be flipped to a “widescreen” view, in which the new accelerometer changes the landscape and viewing of this device. This new Nano still has a long battery life. Apple claims that it will last 36 hours, but I was able to get just over 32 hours of playtime – which is nice… real nice. The video experience was just over 6 hours – as advertised. Another thing about the accelerometer. The accelerometer also enables 'shake to shuffle', where a flick of the wrist will choose a random song. This feels like it has been done right. It also allows easy use of the coverflow system, which runs much smoother this time around. The new music search functions (Genius), the brighter screen,, sound quality, smoother ease and use of coverflow, and continued games support give the new iPod added flare. The addition of voice notes won't make a difference to most people, as you'll need to buy some extra headphones with a microphone built in – but it is nice to know that it is there if you do. The addition of Genius, an automatic playlist generator, is going to be a massive hit with iPod fans. Genius will be massive, because it will - if it works as advertised - unlock the potential of your iPod library and help keep parties jumping or evenings chilled. It will also allow Apple to recommend tracks to you by your listening tastes as well. As a fan small MP3 players, and of the past Nano line-ups, I love this design. I really do. I think the all aluminum casing is the way to go, and I am happy again that it is all around the unit. Should you replace your old 8GB Nano (3rd Generation) with the new one? If you really want accelerometer video abilities and Genius, I would say yes. Regardless if you upgrade, or decided to wait it out, I highly recommended this device to Apple lovers and new MP3 enthusiasts alike. Pros: -Brighter, crisper viewing screen -Aluminum scratch-resistant casing all around the body -Amazing battery-life: 30+ hours plus (6+ with video)! -Search features, cover flow, album art, Genius -Accelerometer for video viewing and song shuffling -Genius song selection -Microphone capabilities -LOTS of new colors to choose from -Games via iTunes Cons -Still no built in FM tuner -Limited space when it comes to video & games
