Amy Adams and Meryl Streep Shine in this one
Amy Adams (Enchanted) stars in this heartwarming story about a young women who falls in love with the cooking styles of Julia Childs (Played by Meryl Streep). A failed writer and feeling her life is going no where, Julie, who loves to cook, is talked into writing a blog about cooking and she decides to cook Julia Child's entire cook book, that is a total of 524 Recipes and gives herself a deadline of 365 days to finish. This movie is actually two different movies. As we follow Julie as she cooks her way through the cook book and writes on her blog, we also follow the life of Julia Child as she learns to cook and then writes and attempts to get the cook book published. Both Amy and Meryl Streep give fine performances in this movie and the way the two story lines work together is ... "If ever there was a movie made for BluRay this is it! Food and locations are so amazing and the digital soundtrack combines to bring the kitchens to life. Whether in BluRay or DVD the acting is superb, as one would expect from Meryl Streep, Amy Adams and Stanley Tucci. Jeremy Wheeler is never overshadowed as Julie Powell's husband. Additional features bring us wonderful insights into the Julia Child story from family and friends as well as Smithsonian experts. For those of us unfortunate enough to have missed the Julia Child TV years, the movie and documentaries bring her to life so well that she has become reborn as an old friend.""If ever there was a movie made for BluRay this is it! Good
eBay's tracking system must have been wrong because the movie came back like it was supposed to. But they said it was not going to be here until 5th of September. But I'm very very happy that I got it today .

Julie & Julia begins when a young woman attempts to make her mark on the world by blogging about cooking her way through the cook book by Julia Child. The story skips between her life and Julia Child's life as she was writing the cookbook. Glen Close portrays Julia Child very well. How they made her look as tall as they did, I am not sure.
