Product Information

Set in a single suburban house, this HBO production spans 40 years, comprising three stories that examine the evolution of a woman's right to choose an abortion. The 1952 segment focuses on a war widow (Demi Moore) who finds herself pregnant after a brief encounter and desperately seeks an illegal abortion. Twenty years later, the house belongs to a married mother of four (Sissy Spacek) who is struggling with the discovery that she is pregnant again. Forced to choose between finishing her college education and starting the career that she put on hold for years or having another child, she also finds herself at odds with her hippie daughter. Set in 1996, the third segment focuses on an unwed college student (Ann Heche) living in the house who becomes pregnant by her married professor. The antichoice protesters surrounding the facility tragically impact her trip to a women's clinic served by a devoted doctor (Cher). Directed by Nancy Savoca (DOGFIGHT, TRUE LOVE) and Cher, this film is a poignant examination of the evolution of the abortion debate, beginning with the tragedy of illegal back-alley abortions and ending with the violence so prevalent at women's clinics today.

These walls talked...
If these walls could talk is an amazing movie about women and their rights throughout different periods in history. Demi Moore, Sissy Spacek and Cher do a great job portraying characters throughout the years. Each character portrays themselves in the decade they represent very well acting wise. This is a movie that gets you thinking.

This is a powerful and moving film, It gives you a real look back at how things were and at times how things are, I am a male that bow's before the real kings of our world, Women. For they are the one's that carry us through, and ensure that new life will continue. This is a great film. It will show you the real horror that a women must encounter when trying to make a life changeing decision. This movie will also give you a real life look at what abortion clinic's and their staff must go though as well, this is a very well done movie and that is why I bought it. I think every man needs to see it, everyone for that matter and all that oppose aboortion and the right for a womwn to choose watch this before you give your opinion,make judgement or protest. Definitely a Woman's Movie
Excellent movie that says "It's this hard to be a woman and have the hard choices to make".Beautiful,heartfelt acting in each segment.Demi Moore really captured the desperation of her character,and the lengths she was willing to go to were heartbreaking.(Trying not to spoil it).It's nice the way they use the house to tie all of the stories together,making it seem like another character in the story.
