Despite the bad reputation of movie-based games, At World's End was a pleasing package. Admittedly, I am a Pirates of the Caribbean fan, but I truly believe this game can hold its own against many of the more well known third party games. The game plays out mostly as a brawler with some clever platforming elements that require you to use various tools. Combat is simple, but visually pleasing (as the entire game is rendered in 3D) and does have a bit of variety to keep things from being too repetitive. Unfortunately, the game is a bit on the short side, as it took only about 12 hours to collect everything there is to collect on Easy mode. I have yet to try Medium and Hard modes, but they are there and do provide some incentive to replay the game. The presentation is straightforward - ... The sound is also workable - there could have been more and better music (I love the soundtrack from the movies and I feel that this should have been exploited more) and there are some voice clips to boot! What would have made the game better would have been a longer quest and more sidequest collectibles and treasures (it's a pirate game, after all), and perhaps some sailing or seabattle sequences. The one on one duels are a pretty fun departure, and it would have been cool to maybe have some sort of boss rush mode or even wi-fi that featured the dueling, instead of relying exclusively on local multiplayer.

So far so good. Got this for two college age game addicts, and both seem to like most of it. The graphics are good, but there are some seemingly impossible moves. One has given up on a certain round simply because she has not found a way to get to the next piece of the game. There are only so many times to continue to try something before there's no point! The book lacks detailed instructions on HOW to do certain things, and they have to be found by trial and error. This is a real downfall with Nintendo games in general - by the time it comes to market, the testers have done the game so much, they forget to include basic information on what button combinations will do what! Excellent Pirates Game
If you love the Pirates of Carribean movie and the disney carribean series, you would love this game. This game contains full of adventure and action. Great Graphics with a new story line. Play the game and watch the new movie, Will entertain you for hours. Enjoyable last movie and excellent game. Recommended for all ages.

Great game - the kids love it
I bought this game as a second Pirates of the Caribbean game so the kids would not squabble over the one we had. This game is great. Just different enough from the previous game to make it interesting. The kids love the game and I like it too.

This game is a little harder than most games! But good!
It's a fun game! It is fun, but could not start a new game, being used! My daughter loves her Nintendo DS! And she needs lots of games to keep her entertained! This one will keep her busy for a while, because it's a little harder than most!
